Wasn‘t a fan of this. My least favorite part of watching/reading Bourdain‘s works are his opinions about America‘s food culture. In his graphic novel, a corporate chef and a locavore chef battle for control of the upscale dining market. But Jiro, an edo-style sushi chef, and other upholders of food traditions battle back for control of America‘s stomachs. I also never appreciate his fat shaming. That really kills me about him. #hoopla

Nothing says Friday night light a little reading and some sushi and some light reading. Decided to take myself to dinner and have nothing but my book and some dinner. Okay maybe a little sake too. I learned a lot about fish, about the history of sushi and the proper way to make sushi and the accompaniments of sushi. The author follows a student named Kate at the California Sushi Academy and intersperses history and science of fish and sushi. While the book needs citations, it‘s a good read in a journalism style.
3/5 stars read to learn more about fish and the sushi industry.

What a fabulous book! Every #Christian mama needs to read this. PACKED full of Godly Titus 2 wisdom! This is one of those books in which I find I‘m highlighting & underlining constantly. I love how deeply rooted in Scripture this book is. There are Scriptures throughout to back up the teachings, so I know I‘m learning a foundation of Godly motherhood. It also has gorgeous illustrations and quotes throughout. Perfect baby shower gift!
