You know what is nice about traveling for work with another reader! We are both tucked into bed and enjoying our books. No pressure to go out and entertain ourselves. All we need is some good take out, a comfy beds and our books!

@ShelleyBooksie is a great travel companion

My other new art acquisition! 🤩🪼

This was a fun short scifi mystery that takes place on Jupiter, which future humans have colonized after ruining Earth. It‘s a Sherlock style murder investigation, except the main characters are women, and the body is missing. I believe book 2 was just published, and I will probably pick it up.

Crazeedi Got your note, I'll write soon! 4h

This wasn‘t for me… at another time I would have liked it I think. It‘s about Paul, who can shapeshift, and uses his abilities to become a woman to have multiple and wild sexploits.

Pictured with my new cow art. Some friends of mine are moving and I got to choose a couple paintings from their eclectic art collection. ❤️🐮

I just couldn‘t get into this one. I think it‘s really just the genre for me is so hit or miss and this one just did not grab my attention at first and I just had such a hard time getting into it. Not really my cup of tea, but I can see how some people would enjoy this one!

As well as a book haul, I took the opportunity to get a #LibraryHaul while I was in Morecambe. Despite being over an hour's drive away, it's still in my home county of Lancashire, so I'll be able to return them locally 😊 (an hour's drive to the library is long, right?)
All GN's - I'm starting with the Marvel Pride collection 🏳️‍🌈🦸🏻‍♀️ mainly because I'm too scared to start with Junji Ito this late at night 🧟‍♀️😰

vivastory Embrace the late night Ito ☠ 🙃 1d
Bookwomble @vivastory I'll read it during the day, and nonchalantly say that it's not that scary! 😄 20h
AnneCecilie I can‘t imagine an hour drive to the library. When it‘s not icy, it‘s takes me 10 min to walk to mine. And the main library downtown is a 20 min metro trip away. 11h
Bookwomble @AnneCecilie I wouldn't do an hour's drive to the library, either, but as I was there anyway... I commented as there are Littens in some huge countries, and I guess for some that journey might not seem too much. The things we do for books 😊 9h

Raw and honest, this is an urbanized fictional perspective of an individual who grew up in the rough streets of Brooklyn, New York. Afro-Latina and trans protagonist Carlotta is released from prison on probation and tries to assimilate back into her community. However, her new identity ostracizes her from everyone as she attempts to navigate while dealing with themes of family, crime, gender, queerness and the threat of gentrification.

Skye is just unapologetically herself and I couldn‘t help but enjoy falling into her world. I‘ve read books/seen movies when the random sperm donor meets the person(s) he helped create so I thought this was an interesting take on a child of an egg donor searching for their biological maternal connection.
