"No one seems to recognize the young man caught in the background of some old photos that Annie found in the attic of Grey Gables. But Mary Beth, owner of A Stitch in Time, turns strangely pale when Annie shows the photos at the Hook and Needle Club meeting. Annie is determined to find out who this stranger is and what became of him. His young, sad face haunts her and she feels compelled to unearth his story. Then disturbing information gleaned from old newspapers and a seemingly unrelated hit-and-run accident injuring her handyman's daughter, Emily, seem to bring danger closer and closer to Annie as she pursues the truth about the young man in the photos"--Publisher's description.

Anyone else still do this? I rarely see photo albums in peoples houses now. They seem to be a throw back to my parents generation because of social media and cloud storage, but I just find something really sweet and calming about getting pictures printed and organising them. I want to be able to just pull an album off the shelf spontaneously if the boys ever bring a girl/boyfriend around. I plan on being maximum embarrassment mum! 😂

TheBookgeekFrau I will always love a photo album! Haven‘t put one together in years though because sending out for prints has become a freakin‘ chore 😄 7y
laurieluna @C.Perone I use Boots photo online. I just log in, upload the photos from my phone and select size and gloss or matt. Et voila. Delivered and then I just stick them in my albums. It can take a while if I haven't done it for a few months though 😂 xx 7y
Zelma I really miss having photo albums. I know i can order albums online but it isn‘t the same as just developing my film and stiffing the, into albums on my shelf. They seem so curated now; I liked the randomness of older albums. 7y

Itchyfeetreader I make photo books - one per year I find it really soothing and enjoy not having to print and stick (I am not good at straight lines!) 7y
laurieluna @Zelma yeah I much prefer putting the photos in myself, but I understand why people also choose the neatness of a photo book like @Itchyfeetreader 😊 7y
amyrohn My mom has a scrapbook for every year since I was born so my house is full of them 😂 7y
MommyOfTwo I haven‘t in a while but plan to soon 7y
laurieluna @amyrohn ah thats so sweet! I'm filling my 3rd at the moment and my son is 3 in a couple of weeks. I love looking back over photos of him as a baby. Time goes so fast! @MommyOfTwo I'm behind with this one, usually do them at the beginning of the year as a new year ritual! Xx 7y
Sophoclessweetheart I have Photobooks rather than albums but I agree that they need to be in print x 7y
PirateJenny My wedding and honeymoon took 5 albums. I'm also doing some for genealogy. 7y
TheBookgeekFrau Yeah, I was using snapfish for a while, but, idk, it was so much more overwhelming than dropping off rolls of film🤷‍♀️ 7y
laurieluna @PirateJenny I'd love to do a genealogy one, I keep meaning to research my family history. @C.Perone that's what I use. It is more time consuming than dropping off a film, but I don't drive so getting to the printers and back is a bit of a hassle for me. Everything is on our phones these days too! Even new cameras use memory cards instead. 7y
laurieluna @Sorceryandswords it's so nice having them there for a spontaneous flick through with a cup of coffee. Doing it on my phone I just get distracted and end up going on the internet etc. I try to be more mindful and photo albums help that. 😊 x 7y
