Pickpick

The pace of Ravencry is slow but the story itself is visceral. The overarching plot with the Deep Kings trying to take over the Range was still ongoing. This time though, they had a new method of attack that is safer for them but their reasoning for their onward push was entirely different from last time. There is also an important portion of the story that takes place in the Misery! Full review at www.thegenreminx.com #TheGenreMinxBookReviews

Ed McDonald‘s debut Blackwing was one of my favorite reads last year. Not just my opinion—Blackwing is on the shortlist for the Morningstar Award. I‘m not a big fan of Grimdark, but Blackwing was “Grimdark with hope,” and that makes all the difference. It is also a damn fine book by any measure. Ravencry is the sequel I‘m very excited about. https://everydayshouldbetuesday.wordpress.com/2018/05/30/cant-wait-wednesday-rav...
