DAY 18 #LuckyStar | I‘m purely choosing this book from the “lucky†portion of today‘s prompt. This is a harrowing memoir of surviving Auschwitz.

Ive decided (since yesterday)that I don‘t read enough memoirs so I found the only other one I own to read on a trip with my parents.. if I dont get sick from my dads driving.

MayJasper Dad driving. Oh yes, I know what you mean. Thankfully a doctor has put a stop to my Dad driving. 6y

This is not "just another survivor story" there is no Holocaust story that is "just another". This is less about Thomas's actual time in the ghetto, camps, and death march it is more about what he did with that experience and how it shaped him and where it brought him in life.

OrangeMooseReads His story of surviving the concentration camps. This part was after the death march from Auschwitz and the open transport train to Sachsenhausen, he got frost bite and two of his twos were removed. 8y

Time to start a new read. Still listening to the Nadja Spiegelman memoir.
