The conventional plot structure again didn‘t exist in this gay action-romance—which, again, didn‘t bother me one bit. What bothered me was the villain copy-pasted off Hannibal Lecter (sans his cooking obsession and his name because that would‘ve been TOO OBVIOUS…) If not for that (and one nasty torture scene) I would‘ve given it solid four stars.

It still was an enjoyable read (mostly). I liked the dynamic between the lead and his partner.

3.5/5

The plotting could be a little stronger and the dialogue transitions clearer but I still like the Miro & Ian pairing. I‘d be rolling into book 3 tonight if I didn‘t have to wait a day for more Hoopla borrows. #romantsy 🔫🔫🔫🔫

Mehso-so

I‘m supposed to be grading but binge reading instead. Oops! This was better than the first, still lots of characters that aren‘t fully introduced but they‘re more peripheral characters so it‘s not so jarring. Characters from the first book are “settling in” a bit so I kind of know who‘s who.
