So someone who loves space, I like being able to share with my classroom. This board book essentially takes the adventure of the first flight to land on the moon. The first of the Eagle Astronauts. I like how the pictures are so sleek. It‘s fun to put together the moon in the sky is this one in the book, those these toddlers can‘t wrap their minds around that quite yet.

On the Moon is an excellent B book for young children to learn about exploring space through a captivating story. This story highlights ESOL strategies 1, 2, 4, 5, 15, and UDL principles 9.3, 1.3, 2.1, and 6.4. I adore how engaging this story is and how it makes learning about being on the moon enjoyable for children by taking them through space through illustrations/real life pictures.

karamank There are so many ways I could use this book in my future kindergarten class room. I really like this lesson plan: https://www.teacher.org/lesson-plan/all-about-the-moon/ I would give students oreos and have them use them to create the moon phases after a RA of the story. 5y
DrSpalding What an excellent book to include in a science lesson! Yummy Oreos! 5y

This week at #Storytime we talked about space! The tagged book is a great read aloud-length nonfiction book about astronauts on the moon, while Zoom, Rocket, Zoom is about all kinds of space vehicles. Zoo in the Sky has a lot of good info about constellations for an older set, while younger ones can identify animals. #raisingreaders #litsyloveslibraries
