On the Moon is an excellent B book for young children to learn about exploring space through a captivating story. This story highlights ESOL strategies 1, 2, 4, 5, 15, and UDL principles 9.3, 1.3, 2.1, and 6.4. I adore how engaging this story is and how it makes learning about being on the moon enjoyable for children by taking them through space through illustrations/real life pictures.

karamank There are so many ways I could use this book in my future kindergarten class room. I really like this lesson plan: https://www.teacher.org/lesson-plan/all-about-the-moon/ I would give students oreos and have them use them to create the moon phases after a RA of the story. 9mo
DrSpalding What an excellent book to include in a science lesson! Yummy Oreos! 9mo

This week at #Storytime we talked about space! The tagged book is a great read aloud-length nonfiction book about astronauts on the moon, while Zoom, Rocket, Zoom is about all kinds of space vehicles. Zoo in the Sky has a lot of good info about constellations for an older set, while younger ones can identify animals. #raisingreaders #litsyloveslibraries
