This book places reading firmly in its social context, discussing what it means to be a reader in the modern world. It contains many innovative ideas on how to approach reading in the language classroom, and presents a variety of text-related exercises and activities. The final section invites teachers to explore the attitudes of their own learners as readers, and to design reading activities for them.

#sundayfunday I track my books on Goodreads, StoryGraph and in a journal ( I like the year end round up on Goodreads and StoryGraph has started or I just discovered it a monthly wrap up graphic) I‘m starting to forget what I read so I need all my stats 🤣🤣 my goal is 100 books and I‘m at 71 so far

BookmarkTavern I forget what I read too! I love Storygraph‘s roundups. Thanks for sharing! 3mo
rachelk Yes! My goal is only 50 but I like using Goodreads and StoryGraph too. The breakdown of the data is cool to see and I like going back and looking at what I read in previous years. 3mo
mcctrish @rachelk I love being able to look back at what I‘ve read, it‘s always years off from what I thought 3mo

#in2018 @RealLifeReading

I rarely bail on a book, I also don't normally reread books. Hopefully top 100 books in 2019 🤞🏻 & maybe meet an author. #goals

RealLifeReading I just bailed on a book so I admire you for sticking it out!! 6y

1. Unless I absolutely can't, and whenever I can, I finish the whole book 😆
2. I read all the time: with my morning tea, on my breaks at work, before I go to bed, all weekend. . .
3. Yes, and when I can't get quiet, I use the white noise app on my phone

1. I like to stop at a break point - it doesn‘t have to be the end of the chapter though.
2. Both!
3. Nah, I can pretty much tune anything out.
