Really good “your modern YA-novel”. Ok, I 🙄 when it came to her father no finishing taking his antibiotics (how convenient).
But there‘s no annoying love triangle in there (although there is one) and the forest and the wolve was all so interesting and kept me wanting to know more. 💚🐺

Pity, I soon lost overview over all the village people – and in the end also over the family ties. (But I‘ve never been good at that.)

Book and after-dinner-treat.

Continuing in YA. I decided to reduce readathon-“pressure”*) by keeping on counting audiobooking and “audio-library-ing” as reading.

*) 🙄 Rest assured, there‘s a high probability that it‘s me, not the event[s]

Wilma happily wags her tail, wants me to take what she has brought – but I can‘t, “Put it down, Wilma,” I order, (p. 224)

It‘s not really a quote-worthy quote but I really like well educated dogs. 😍 Maybe I am too strict in that respect, but a well-educated dog for me is one,m that listens to commands and doesn‘t bark without reason. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Buechersuechtling (Continued) Where I live there‘s a lady dog-walking her pet twice a day in front of my flat and every time the dog is barking. Then another dog in another flat is answering and all the owner does is yelling: “Silent!” - every day without effect. 🙄 It‘s so annoying and also disturbing my sleep at night. Why can‘t she take her dog to a dog-school or take another route when around here there‘s obviously living a dog hers doesn‘t like❓🤮 🔚 (edited) 4y
Jari-chan I totally agree with you! Actually, I'm a bit scared of tiny dogs, since it seems that those owners often don't care to train their dogs well, whilst people with bigger dogs have very well-behaving dogs (around here at least)... 4y
Buechersuechtling @Jari-chan Around here, it‘s about the same. The tiny ones are constantly scolding because they believe the world is theirs. But still not enough. Because they deserve more, more, more. And the bigger ones, however, run around radiating: “If you think. 🤷🏽‍♀️” 4y

Until now, I didn‘t come too far during #AnywayYou-readathon. I set my goals yesterday before I learnt about Prince Phillip‘s death and when I did, I was surprised how much it brought up my own sorrow and mourning about my own father‘s death, again.

So I didn‘t manage relevant progress yesterday but I will count in the 1:36 hours of audiobook/audio library I‘ve so far had today and now try to get a good bite into my YA-novel (pictured left).

Jari-chan Here's a hug if you need one ❤ 4y
Buechersuechtling @Jari-chan It‘s greatly appreciated. 4y

It‘s only just now that I saw the news.
Therefore I want to reach out especially to all my British and/or Commonwealth fellow Littens who are mourning.

I know how it feels to lose your father or someone who you feel he is although he isn‘t.

I‘m deeply sorry for the loss. 😔

rubyslippersreads I‘m American, but I‘m sad too, especially for the Queen. 😢 4y
Buechersuechtling @rubyslippersreads Yes, I know what you mean. Losing one‘s husband, companion, friend after more than 70 years. 😢 After all that I know, they had a good relationship, so it must be even harder. Especially considering her job. He surely might not always have been an easy (to deal with) man (we all aren‘t) but in my perception he was old-school in the best sense of the word. 4y

Edge-of-bed-oath:

“Tonight, I‘ll have an early night, tonight I‘ll have an early night, tonight I‘ll have an early night …“

I was soooo tired 💤 this morning.

And now I‘d rather be reading. 😔

julesG Same here. 4y
charl08 This is like my life story! 4y

@RamsFan1963 was punctual – but I‘m late to @Eggs last week‘s #WondrousWednesday. 😊

1️⃣ Blackjack and Luther (“Fool on the Hill”), Anna and Fynn (🇬🇧 “Mister God, this is Anna”), Papillon and Louis Dega (“Papillon”)

2️⃣ No. I always read only one book but I always read one and listen to another one as audiobook during chores or commute.

2️⃣ Contemporary.

Eggs Thanks for playing 👏🏻📚🦋 4y

I bet, I am not the only German Litten feeling a certain kind of pain when seeing how this is hyphenated.

👆🏼And they swap happily ever after.

Sponged this from the in-laws yesterday. I read “Rain Song” by her, which was okay but no winner.

This one sounds interesting, about a girl who prefers being in the woods over being at home.

I so much hope, it will be a good story. I really need a book, and I mean a real book, no audiobook, that sucks me in. I miss being enthralled – I was so disappointed by my last reads, I need a reading-mood elevator.
