Great middlegrade novel about family, courage and coming of age. Tiger Ann's parents may be different from typical parents but everyone experiences a time when you learn the depths of your parents' humanity for most of us it's when we see their fallibility but for a kid who grew up with childlike parents seeing their innate ability is a turning point. A deceptively simple story that leaves kids with a lot to unpack about relationships and respect.
