The main thing that stood out to me in this story is the way the illustrator bolded the pictures and made them look comic-like with their black borders and skinny pages. The pictures also pull weight in telling the story without words.

This story has a great story that catches the reader and makes them drag their finger along. I think this story would be a good book for an art class in which the teacher could speak about drawing style and lines. I also think orientation could be taught as vocab and how it was used in this story. I think this story was a beautiful picture book that has the reader following closely along eager.

My friend Rabbit kitten by Eric Rohmann won a Caldecott in 2003. This story has dark Iined images and changes orientation of the story. It is an interesting read as the reader itself moves with the book in a sense of where you are looking. This book makes the reader allow the Rabbit ought the story almost with their finger to keep along with it. I think this book was a fun and exciting read.

Published in 2003, this is a funny story that has few words, but awesome illustrations that make the story great. Rabbit causes trouble but mouse is his friend and will stand behind him. There is a dark outline on the border of pages as well as the animals so it makes them look interesting and pop, almost like a comic.

My Friend Rabbit, by Eric Rohmann, 2002. Received a Coldecott award in 2003. I loved the illustrations of this book, there are warm purples and blues to display the characters of the story. The layout also switched from horizontal, to vertical which was interesting and fun!

There are large images which students love when I read in my classroom placement. There is also a page that is flipped when all the animals are on top of each other and having a different orientation even on one page brings engagement and curiosity.

This is a good book to use when talking about problem-solving or when talking about friendships. I think the students would have fun listening to this story and following rabbit to see what he does next.

This story had few words, allowing the largest part of the story to be told through the readers depictions of the illustrations. This story reminds readers that what is important is not focusing on the mistake you made, but rather trying to figure out the best ways in which to solve the problem at hand.

Published in 2002, receiving the Caldecott award. This story is focused on the friendship of mouse and his friend rabbit, who is always getting himself stuck in troublesome situations. The two were playing when rabbit got their toy airplane stuck in a tree. Rabbit told mouse not to fear that he had a plan, he gathered and stacked all kinds of animals on top of one another in attempt to reach the plane. Little did he know more trouble was to come.

Great illustrations that are perfect for very young kids.

My friend rabbit: A picture book is a Caldecott honor book from 2002. This is a great book to have in class. It doesn't have a lot of words but the illustrations really speak for themselves. I love how some of the pages even are vertical, that is such a fun touch.

This F picture book is a great book to introduce the spring season, or animals, or friendship. IT is a friendship between a mouse and a rabbit, how far will you go for your friends? This is a great read for young readers trying to make friends. A lesson to follow up with this story could be for the students to come up with their own examples of going above for friendship. #ucflae3414f19

The pictures bring the story to life and each illustration leaves children wondering what will happen next. The book uses not much words which is great for sparking curiosity among children and guessing! The book even requires that some pages are turned vertically!

This book is a Caldecott medal winner. It is a book about a rabbit who has many ideas and gets him and his friend mouse into trouble with the other animals.

This would be a good book to use in a classroom to show that everyone is different, and just because they think differently, we still have to love our friends.

This award-winning picture book is great to use in the classroom with young children in it. It has few words and amazing pictures/illustrations. It teaches the lesson on how nobody is perfect and it's ok to make mistakes and still love your friends for it. The illustrations are great to use in the classroom for young children who may not know how to read yet or are just beginning to learn how to read.

This is a Caldecott Medal Award-winning book. It is mostly pictures and little words. The illustrations are amazing! I thought this book was super cute and a great short story for younger children. It teaches the lesson of loving your friends even when they make mistakes, and how everyone isn't perfect. Also a great illustration (picture) book!

This book would be great for kindergarten or 1st grade. Its a short book for kids to look at when they are starting to understand more how to read. It has a great cover to interest kids.

This book won a Caldecott medal. It was a very fun book and good for kids. Had great pictures of animals. Showed that rabbit was always trying to keep and hold his friends no matter who they were.
