Read this over the weekend, as it‘s going to be added in to our HS curriculum. If you‘ve read it, please tell me your thoughts! It‘s a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me and I have high hopes that it will suck in a lot of readers (vampire pun intended!).

Gene is a human living amongst vampires. He‘s terrified everyday of his life but does his best to pass as one of them. Then he gets selected for the Heper Hunt, in which vampires are let loose to kill humans. Uh oh.

This is no ordinary vampire book but gosh do I love it! I remember being drawn in but also taking a moment to truly get into it and then I was hooked! I read the whole series in a short period and loved each one. If you like to stray from the norm then this is a book for you!

I just finished the trilogy. The 1st book was awesome. The second book was good. The 1st part of book 2 was a bit slow and then veered a little towards "The Handmaids Tale" but then settled back into the pace of the 1st book. The last book was as awesome as the 1st. The ending was, in hindsight, something I should have thought of and made so much sense but I still didn't see it. It will definitely make you rethink the origin.

This book had me up till 4:30am, it would of been longer but my eyes let me down! I think a further day of reading is required. The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda.

Fast paced, gory and gripping. The anticipation just builds and builds until it comes hurtling towards its gripping climax. "The Hunger Games with vampires" totally delivered. 4 stars.

This is addictive.
