I‘ve been wondering since early in the book about that ending. It will certainly be interesting to see how this goes. This series gets better and better with every book. This was the best one so far. I can‘t wait to start the next one, thanks to @Texreader

Another excellent Gareth and Gwen mystery. Although our sleuths are from medieval Wales, this mystery is set in Norman England, and is a complicated tale of murder and mayhem during the English Civil War between King Stephen and Empress Maud. If this time period is of interest I strongly recommend this book, but read the series in order. This is book 3. Many many more to come in this series.
