Thought this was either badly written or the publishing company made a balls up of it because there's so much bad grammar and even spelling mistakes in the book; it's like it was written by a teenager.

The plot is very thin and straightforward, I guess I wanted to read this one because of the cover; it felt like I'd be reading something forbidden.

But it sucks!

If you like grisly, poorly written and repetitive horror then it‘s for you.

How could there be trouble when there are such things of beauty still alive and blissfully living their life in ignorance to the dangers surrounding them? I smiled. Not because of the deer but because of me. I smiled because I found the deer to be beautiful. With everything going on in the world, I found beauty. I hadn‘t lost my humanity. I hadn‘t lost my soul. More importantly - I hadn‘t lost my hope.

I did not enjoy the twist, it really seemed like an easy way out. I mean, don't get me wrong, it does put a nice little bow on end of the story. With the characters not having their memories, we are somewhat denied any sort of character development. It's definitely not as gross as it is made out to be. The gore is far less detailed than the sex. I would check out more from Shaw before I give up on him.

Sick B*stards was quite an interesting and...insane story to read. Every moment was centered on a piece of the main character's humanity being lost to the cannibalism and ill-moral actions through the story. While reading the book, I jumped a few times, and I was drawn into the character's fight against the madness that was tearing him apart. This is a heavy, hardcore horror novel; if extreme horror is not your cup of tea, just steer clear of it.

Well.....I guess my curiosity got the best of me here. I just had to buy it and check it out for myself, I'll be the judge of that! 😂
