I have not actually read the tagged book, but the author happens to be one of my favorite actresses of all time. Star of countless classics, "A Band of Outsiders," "Alphaville," "Pierrot le Fou" & "A Woman is a Woman." She was especially luminous when paired with Jean-Paul Belmondo, without question they rank high among greatest cinematic duos.

TobeyTheScavengerMonk For me, Alphaville was that first film where I was like Wait! Movies can be this?! It kicked off my love for weirdo cinema which lead me to Pierrot le Fou which is an all-timer for me. 6y
vivastory @TobeyTheScavengerMonk Pierrot le Fou has one of my favorite endings. Ever. Having already watched Man Bites Dog & Bertolucci's Partner before watching Godard, I was aware of the liberating effect of the weird & outrageous. But Breathless (my first Godard) made me fall in love with foreign film. 6y
Kalalalatja I have never heard of any of these films 😳😳 6y
youneverarrived She is brilliant! 😍 I went through a phase of watching Godard films when I was probably too young to really get them but I adore Anna Karina. 6y
