I was motivated to join #cloakanddaggerchristmas after seeing @merelybookish post. Initially I was aiming for only 4 prompts, but when I saw that 1 prompt is the easily completed one of watching a mystery show I added that. Then I was tempted by the fact that completion of six prompts earns me Police Inspector Level, Here are the 6 prompts including multiple choices for the same prompt so I can pick & choose:👇

vivastory 💀Agatha Raisin: (Clarke's Girl 11; Rinehart's Miss Pinkerton)
🔪Tommy & Tuppence (Osman's Thursday Murder Club; Horowitz's Word is Murder)
🕵Kinsey Milhone (B is for Burglar; Joe Ide's Hi Five)
📺Columbo:(Mare of Easttown; Sherlock feat Cumberbatch earlier seasons)
🌍Detective Galileo: (PD James' Mistletoe Murders; Jane Harper's Survivors; Mukherjee's Rising Man)
🔍Flavia de Luce: (Raman's Will to Kill Barron's Blood Standard)

vivastory I might use some of the unused books from a certain prompt for a different prompt if the mood strikes me (ie Mukherjee's Rising Man could also be used for the Flavia prompt & Thursday Murder Club could be used for Agatha Raisin. I have a lot of good options here.) Here is a link for more info for anyone that's interested:

vivastory @RaeLovesToRead You definitely should! You can use the same book for multiple prompts & it runs for the entire month of Dec. There is a level for meeting 3 prompts 2y
RaeLovesToRead Very tempted. Mystery fiction is my favourite 🕵‍♀️🧐 2y
Hooked_on_books I love how you gradually talked yourself into more prompts. That‘s absolutely something I would do. 😂 2y
vivastory @Hooked_on_books It would have bugged me if I was only prompt away from reaching another level 😂 2y
Laughterhp This looks like a fun challenge. 2y
vivastory @Laughterhp You should join in. You can't go wrong with mystery & the holidays! 🕵 2y
merelybookish 👏👏 Yay! Finding options for the different prompts is not hard! I also have a few that could work in a few different categories. I'm excited! I picked up a few holds at the library today. 2y
vivastory @merelybookish I will be making a library run tomorrow 📚📚 2y

Of course I have certain authors or books that I like over others, but I do believe my #FavoriteFiction is mystery and crime fiction. I‘m a sucker for a good mystery! 😀

DGRachel I‘m so glad I saw this. I‘ve never done a crowd cast thing before, but this looks right up my alley!!! 4y
DGRachel Seriously, thanks for posting this. I joined the one in Queens and then they linked to one right after in DC. This made my night and blew up my TBR! 4y

This little book is a godsend to any crime fiction fan looking for new authors and series to try. Recommendations are organised by sub-genre, type of criminal or detective. My only real criticism is that cosy mysteries are missing.
