Ghosts of Acadia
Ghosts of Acadia | Marcus LiBrizzi
3 posts | 2 read | 1 to read
Following in the tradition of his first collection of ghost stories, Dark Woods, Chill Waters, Marcus LiBrizzi has researched and written a collection of 21 true ghost stories from the Acadia/Mount Desert Island region of Maine. All the stories stand out due to their frightening elements and legendary qualities, combined with historical background and eye-witness accounts. The collection also provides a kind of gothic tour guide, recounting stories in settings that readers can go and visit.

Mehso-so

I enjoyed the ghost stories, but I feel like I had to do a lot of research because the author wrote as if the reader already knew about the history behind some tragedies of Acadia. For instance, I didn‘t know that Acadia had a great fire in the 40‘s. I had to look that up. Loved the ghost stories behind Acadia and even got to visit some of places he talked about. #blackcatcrew 🐈‍⬛

Here are all the books I‘ve acquired on my vacation in Maine so far. From a used bookstore to a Little Free Library to a new bookstore. 😺
