I wasn‘t ready for the many tears to form in my eyes while reading this. Beautifully heartbreaking, and I believe this is the authors debut novel. I‘ll be looking for more of her in the future.

It‘s that time of the month again! I‘m so excited about these April #bookspin books…last month was a lot of thriller, so I‘m excited to settle down a bit with these. So far I‘ve read every #bookspin book that has been chosen off my tbr, so I‘m hoping to keep it going strong. This is such a fun way to knock out that tbr!

A lot of my booktubers that I follow couldn‘t get enough of this romance, so I thought I‘d give it a go. I liked it, I wouldn‘t go as far as saying I loved it, but it was a fun and fluffy quick read. I like that the main characters nickname was “Lemon.” 🍋

I can‘t even begin to tell you how perfect everything is @Chrissyreadit 💛 Everything about this package made me smile, but most importantly, getting to know you and our emails back and forth to one another has been such a beautiful thing! I can‘t wait to read the Chronicles of Prydain novels with my son, it‘s going to be an incredible epic adventure! This #litsyfoundfamilyswap has been absolutely amazing!

Woah, I had no idea this book was going to be so dark and disturbing. What the heck did I even read?! It was good, confusing at times, but the author wrapped it up very well. What a twisted story, and one that I think is actually going to haunt me a little!

I finished my March #bookspin over the weekend, and I was a little disappointed in this thriller. The first half was pretty slow, and it finally got interesting the last quarter of the book. I wasn‘t really interested in any of the characters, and it jumped around way too much for me. The writing was a bit all over the place at times. Onto my #doublebookspin next!

A day full of cooking and baking today! It‘s for a good cause, my best friend had her first baby and I‘m taking her fresh lasagna, freshly baked pepperoni bread, Caesar salad, and chocolate olive cake for dessert. I remember those newborn days when cooking seemed like such a chore, so I‘m very excited to be bringing her lunch tomorrow ❤️

I‘m enjoying this Charlotte Mason technique on homeschooling. I‘m always interested and intrigued by different approaches to homeschooling, and I love how she incorporates nature and literature together to teach and inspire. It‘s going to be a thrilling March for #bookspin 🍀

From what I heard about this, I think my heart is in for a little emotional journey. I‘m about 150 pages in, and I can already start to see some warning signs of Ryle. I‘ve been doing some highlighting since a lot of sentences used are actual life lessons 💐

What a haunting and beautifully written novel this is. I didn‘t expect to love this book as much as I did, but it truly is a work of art all in itself. I do have to warn that there is a trigger: suicide and depression. The author writes this sensitive subject with care, and it is a story I will never forget. 🪶

Sunday afternoon well spent ☺️ This is one is those novels that I‘m just drinking in and savoring. Beautifully written, but also beautifully heartbreaking.

We got over a foot in my corner of PA today, and it was a beauty! These days are best with a book and coffee in hand, but when you have a 5 year old, you venture out in the snow all day and play 🥰 Snow days make the best memories

I have to say, this wasn‘t my favorite. I couldn‘t connect with the two main characters, and they just weren‘t the perfect “fit” for me. The description of the lake was beautiful though, and now I kind of want to own my own lakeside resort 🐟⛵️ #bookspin #februarybookspin

I woke this morning to find out the news that my favorite country singer had passed into eternal rest. I saw him every year he would come to my hometown, and even met him in person. He was a kind man who clearly took the time for his fans, and his country. He was my first concert when I was 10 years old, and my last. It‘s a sad day in the country music industry today 💔

My little guy has a play date at a friends house today, so I‘m trying to get a little reading time in before that. And can you believe, this is the first we‘ve seen the sunshine in weeks here in my little corner of PA! From December until March it‘s usually nothing but gray skies and overcast, so this is a beautiful little treat 🌞

I‘m in the mood for a good little haunting read…and I finally signed up for kindle unlimited! 📚

So far I‘m right on track for my reading goal this year, but I‘m trying not to be so hard on myself if I don‘t reach it. It was a great and quick January! Can‘t wait to see what February has in store!

For my #weekendreads I‘m hoping to finish “Red Rising” and put more of a dent in “Powerless.” I don‘t know why, but it‘s taking me so long to read Powerless and it‘s not a story I‘m completely invested in. I‘ll finish it, but I‘m ready for it to end. As for Red Rising, I‘m loving this so far!

This was my #doublebookspin for January, and probably my least favorite read so far of this month. The story, at times, was too all over the place and I had a hard time understanding what was happening. I love the cover of this book, but I think it‘s not one I‘ll keep on my shelves. I also had no idea going into this how dark it would be. Can‘t wait for Februarys #bookspin !!

After playing in the snow all morning, my lab is ready for bed! Too bad I had to spoil his little nap when I had to take my books back from underneath his giant head 😂❄️

I didn‘t know anything about the ship that was disembarked to Cuba during the start of the Holocaust. So I had to do a little research on my own when reading this book, but I did end up learning quite a bit. I also had a little problem understanding the author because his writing, at times, was a little all over the place. A very sad and heartbreaking novel, but a very important read in my opinion. This was a #bookspin book for January ❄️

I did it (although quite sloppy because I‘m a TERRIBLE wrapper lol)! These are all my tbr #bookspin books numbered and placed on my bookshelf. Now when a new number is rolled every month, it‘ll be a complete surprise and it‘ll be like a brand “new” novel to me! 📖

I bought this “LOTR” game for my husband, and it‘s taking an hour just to understand the directions on how to play 😅I read the reviews on it, and a lot of people say it‘s really fun once you get the hang of it. Here goes nothing! 🧙🏻‍♂️⚔️

Well, Covid has hit our house for the Holidays. We have hosted Christmas every year, but this is the first year we had to cancel. This was a cute Christmas read which scored me a lot of word search points for #wintergames but I found it lacking. It took about halfway through the book to finally get into the romance between the two main characters. This is a series apparently, so maybe it shouldn‘t have been read as a stand alone. #GhostsofXmas
