Another fantastic novel in the Frey/McGray series. Still in love with Inspector McGray he still has the best lines. Great storyline, great mystery. Won't disappoint. Definitely recommend 🤓

The latest installment with Inspectors McGray and Frey. It doesn't disappointment, this time Madame Katarina is in deep trouble, after a seance leaves six people dead and only her alive! And of course another fantastic cover! #bookcover

The was written in a different style to the others in this series. The crime, investigation and forensic testing were described in detail. The descriptive text, was quite powerful and thoughtful. Even one of the séances was believable. What spoiled the story was the action just prior to and at 8 o'clock in the morning which was ludicrous and the fact that on two occasions the author addressed the reader directly distracting from a good read

Travelling to Spain from Bristol Apt with my copy of The Darker Arts to read. Landing at Murcia Apt, not Alicante as that has been closed due to a fire. Final destination Torrevieja and Torre La Mata.

Bk9 of my #LibraryHaul is Bk5 of the Frey&McGrey series. Madame Katerina, McGreys trusted clairvoyant hosts a seance for 3 of Edinburgh‘s wealthiest families. The next morning everyone is found dead with Katerina the only survivor. She blames the deaths on a tormented spirit but the only one who believes her is McGrey. Of course. Frey is called to help, who, as he disbelieves everything that comes out of her mouth, finds it a difficult task.

emmaturi Oh I must try to get my hands on this! 4y

Now we‘re at the #LibraryHaul portion. This is reserved for #Scareathlon got it home and realised its the 5th book in a series! And of course the library only has 3 of the previous books and they‘re in ebook format😒I‘ll figure it out. Madame Katharine conducts a seance at a wealthy Edinburgh home.Next morning, everyone‘s dead except her & she claims a tormented spirit was the killer. DI McCray investigates. #TeamSlaughter 1point #PointsTotal-29

It appears Oscar is making good progress on The Darker Arts, the fifth book in the series.
