Dog Man 4: Dog Man and Cat Kid | Dav Pilkey

The kids and I went to the library this morning and got a pretty good haul. Even though our boy struggled and disliked reading for the longest time he is now quite the reader! Once reading started clicking for him he started really enjoying books! He now reads every night for at least an hour.

Conan the Barbarian Volume 3: The Age Unconquered | Jim Zub

Four #LibraryHaul GNs this week, of which Conan was the best, precisely capturing the classic sword & sorcery aesthetic, by Crom!
The Star Wars book was unreadable and I bailed. The Force was weak in that one!
Venom was ok, a flashback to the Lethal Protector's early career, featuring Silver Sable & Nick Fury, with Doctor Doom the antagonist. Workmanlike rather than inspired.

Bookwomble Eat the Rich is ok as a horror comic, if cannibalism is your thing. As social commentary on how the 1% feed off the 99%, & how the latter are complicit in their exploitation, it was better, if very much on the nose.
A mixed bag, overall. 4w

My holiday #libraryhaul for today! Went to pick up the tagged book I had on hold and ended up coming home with lots of holiday/wintery reads off my TBR.

I am planning to spend December reading happy, fun romances and cozies along with a few others that feel right for the season off my own shelves. I need some comfort and joy right now.

Keanu Reeves Is Not In Love With You: The Murky World of Online Romance Fraud | Becky Holmes

My #LibraryHaul from yesterday. I went in to pick up my hold on The Village Library Demon-Hunting Society & The Night Guest & God‘s Country ended up in my hands, followed by the tagged book which looks pretty funny. (I find online romance fraud pretty fascinating).

Finally my favorite librarian gave me the ARC of Smothermoss which she called weird & said she thought I might like it. Hmm… so what is she saying about me?
