Genuinely the worst book I've ever read. I was so looking forward to reading this one and it was a huge let down. Just awful awful writing. Packed full of cliches, bad alliterations and shoddy wooden dialogue. Avoid at all costs.

I may be following a theme 🤔 unintentionally but two books with the butcher in the title could be seen as a pattern....🤨😳🔪

A bit of a different book for me, I really enjoyed it. I really liked the two main characters, the story was claustrophobic and you could feel the oppression. Loved the relationship with Arbuckle and Lady May. I can't help but feel that there could have been more done with the story that made it better. The end being earlier and really hammering it would have been great. Decent book overall, good storyline idea.

Great book- struggled a little at the beginning but managed to get into the storyline. Great twists and turns and mystery element. Found some of the tone of some of the characters a bit whiny but didn't stop me from enjoying. Definitely recommend 🧙

Another amazing story, full of intrigue and good characters. Loved how twisted the story was. Some of the chapters written from the father's perspective were irritating but I just skipped them in the end. Loved the book overall.

Torn about this one, started not too bad, decent storyline but the dialogue just seemed really basic and naff at times. Also, not too sure about the ending..seemed a bit farfetched at times. Readable but meh.

Started this after becoming obsessed with the show. Actually really enjoyed the book, it's so different to the TV programme but loved it.

Another fantastic novel in the Frey/McGray series. Still in love with Inspector McGray he still has the best lines. Great storyline, great mystery. Won't disappoint. Definitely recommend 🤓

Going back to one of my favourite authors after a disappointing ending to my last book 🤗🗡️🕯️

This one started off great and stayed that way for the first 3/4 of the story. Super funny and great characters. Absolutely detested the ending, poor, could have ended so much better. Definitely recommend but almost with the caveat that you stop reading at page 311. Disappointing
