Pickpick

I was expecting something a bit more in-line with some of this restaurant critic‘s more autobiographical books, but this was a fun mystery! The character of Billie, who answers complaints from the magazine‘s culinary impaired readers, was a a wonderful character and her actions were obviously informed by Reichl‘s own life. I especially liked the James Beard letters “clues.) A fun read!

Cooking from this recipe book I got for my birthday. Thr last couple of months I was working hard on getting my second book done by its deadline, so I haven‘t had much time to enjoy being in the kitchen. Glad to get back to it - nothing like creating some exciting meals while listening to some tunes or an audiobook to relax me!
