Why would I want to read of a person who always seeks solace in others and cannot ever be happy? Such a sad story. I really wanted to like this book. Written by a local Provincetown resident and me having worked in the town next-door in growing up on Cape Cod. I thought this would be a really great read. unfortunately it was formulaic and could have used more development. Oh well.

This is a collection of short stories about female heroes of all ages. I really wanted to like this collection. However, most of the stories weren‘t flushed out enough for my liking. Some of them were nonsensical because they lacked information. They were too quick or short to get me stuck in the story.

Loved this story. It was a dramedy. Funny and interesting as I followed the descent into isolation of a woman scorned and then her coming out to the world again. Entertaining lighthearted and just what I needed.

I listened to this book, and I gotta tell you the waitlist for this book for the new year was really long. The audiobook is great, short, and informative in an a small steps approach. And there‘s a website where I can go for printouts on how to get started in adding new habits to my routine. Of course, now the big dilemma is me actually following through.😂😂😂

Iamvinsto Believe me,taking a stand against that dilemma might be a arduous one but the results are worth ! 1y

I‘m a quarter way through so far Hendrix has a fleshed out protagonist and the haunting includes creepy dolls and questionable noises. It‘s moving a bit slow for me but I think the atmosphere he is creating will be worth it. ALSO I know I‘ve been lying low, I am still writing letters just at a snails pace! #litsylove

Quick read. It has a paranormal plot but I‘m the protagonist‘s ability to see ghosts actually didn‘t play any true part in solving the crimes she witnessed. But the ghosts she encounters do want peace and I did enjoy the story. There‘s a mystery man and a lost loved one who returns and i want more! If there was ever a sequel I‘d read it. I‘d like to know what happens next.

The characters are all so flawed it feels relatable. You don‘t want to like any of them but the friendship/lover dynamic puts a hard twist on a story of teens wanting resolution, and for things to change and stay the same.

A good coming of age tale about a secret kept between summer friends that unravels. The secret really makes me see childish things I did in youth that I regret today but at the time felt monumental.

I think you can read this without watching the show. It read like Go Ask Alice and the voice/writing is older than a 12-16 teen. But I like dark tales. This book contains a lot of abuse drugs and sex so read at your own risk. Now I want to go watch Twin Peaks.

Really enjoyed this one and I‘m not a big fan of the author. Although I do have to say she does NOT make likable characters. Her books are more like watching a terrible fight between two terrible people, you just cannot look away. Also checking in with my buddy @BookwormAHN how you doin‘? The last few months and days have been terrible for me but I still get up each day, so I‘ve got that going for me, which is nice.

BookwormAHN August so far has sucked for me. On the first I found out I had Covid so I did the medication and quarantined myself. My sense of smell is still gone and I woke up with a migraine. I'm ready for September and I'd like to skip the rest of August 🤷🏼‍♀️ 2y

I came across an article comparing period cramps to a heart attack but a doctor said that a heart attack usually doesn‘t feel painful. LABOR PAINS or the pain of cutting off your finger works better. This is what we deal with every month, we still go to work. And there‘s not much research into ending this pain. And now the Supreme Court…⬇️

https://www.insider.com/are-period-cramps-more-painful-than-heart-attack-2018-3?...

Moonprismpower …THE SUPREME COURT!…wants to take away abortion rights. Women never got the health benefits they should have. They‘re questioned about the validity of their suffering. They‘re turned away. And now this. IF YOU SUPPORT a women‘s right to choose do what you can. Sign a petition, donate a little cash. PROTEST. We can all do something big or small. 2y
Moonprismpower My point is my body likes to fight me. And now government AGAIN, is also trying to fight me, over my body. I get enough aches and pains to last a lifetime. I get enough ignorance and people shushing me if I discuss body period pain. More than enough doctors who ignore me, or insult my body. WE ALL NEED SUPPORT. 2y
Scochrane26 I‘m angry about this whole situation, too. I also get frustrated because I‘ve been on the pill for many years for period pain & am past the age I should be on it. But, there‘s no alternative besides dying of cramps/vomiting, so my dr has kept me on it. 2y
Moonprismpower @Scochrane26 I understand your pain. Also I got a tubal ligation two years ago and I was lucky I was at the age where they didn‘t tell me yOu MAy WaNt KIds sOmEdaY! I can only guess where this override may take us, back to the dark age. 2y
