The illustrations are greatly disturbing which is what you expect from Gris Grimly. The grim limericks are okay. Many are really cute. I just wish the book had a better flow.

Reading this over and over this morning to my youngest. This has been one of our family favorites for many, many years. They're fun to read, and Gris Grimly is one of our favorite artists!

Pickpick

#OctoberXFiles Day 29: Perfect for #Halloween, this is part limerick with a “dash of grim” and a “slosh of spook juice” among others. It is a devilishly-macabre picture book with Grimly‘s trademark strangenesses which worked beautifully with Pearson‘s poetry. My full review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-4Ad
