Warrior Witch: Malediction Trilogy Book Three | Danielle L. Jensen
6 posts | 11 read | 11 to read
Sometimes, one must become the unimaginable… Cécile and Tristan have accomplished the impossible, but their greatest challenge remains: defeating the evil that they have unleashed upon the world. As they scramble for a way to protect the people of the Isle and liberate the trolls from their tyrant king, Cécile and Tristan must battle those who’d see them dead. To win, they will risk everything… and everyone. But it might not be enough. Both Cécile and Tristan have debts, and they will be forced to pay them at a cost far greater than they had ever imagined. Everything is at stake, in the heart-stopping conclusion to the acclaimed Malediction Trilogy. File Under: Fantasy From the Trade Paperback edition.

An excellent conclusion to the Malediction Trilogy. Jensen keeps the hits coming through short, action-packed chapters that push the conflict forward, throw her characters into emotionally resonant peril, and draw on every hint she planted in the first two books. Even though it‘s been ages since I started the series, I was hard pressed to put it down and finished it with a tear in my eye.

Be aware: it is NOT a standalone. Read the others first.

I‘ve finally started WARRIOR WITCH, the oldest ARC in my stack. It‘s one of those books that fell through the cracks when I stopped blogging, and it‘s past time I remedied that.

So far, I‘ve spent lots of time dredging my memory for what happened in the first two books. Jensen doesn‘t play catch-up here, but she‘s given me enough to get by on. I‘m enjoying myself.

I‘m gonna post a book (or series) from my TBR every day until I‘ve shared the lot. No descriptions. No explanations. Just a whole bunch of books I haven‘t read yet.

This is Day 55.

My next buddy read which finishes up this series. I don't have a good feeling about it but... at least it's a book toward my Goodreads challenge.

A solid series finale! So much happened in this last book, and though it could be overwhelming, it all worked to make the story even more exciting and emotional.
