The New York Times bestselling author of The Other Lady Vanishes sweeps readers back to California in the 1930s in this all-new novel. An ex-trapeze artist walks the tightrope between desire and danger as she is caught up in the mysterious circumstances surrounding the onstage death of an inventor. The race is on to find his missing invention before others, who are willing to kill for it, find it first. Once again, the resort town of Burning Cove is the center of deception and intrigue in this thrilling new novel from New York Times bestselling author Amanda Quick.

Just finished Megan Abbott‘s “The Turnout,” but I didn‘t bring one of the three remaining in my Library Pile at home because I really didn‘t expect to be un-busy enough to finish it. 😂 So I continue to be stuck at four in the Library Pile because I just checked this one out. But it‘ll be a quick read, so it‘s fine…pun slightly intended. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ #tightrope #amandaquick

StaceGhost I loved this whole series! Very fun reads 2y
actualdisneyprincess @StaceGhost agreed!! I thoroughly enjoyed the first two, and am already having fun with this one!! 💖 2y

February's book will be a slow burn romance. Fitting for month of love.

I really like the setting of these books. 1920s Hollywood is so dreamy and fun. This book had the great mystery and slight level of paranormal that I enjoy from Amanda Quick books.

6 months ago Amalie was a flyer in a traveling circus. She was almost murdered, but she survived. She and her aunt bought a bed and breakfast in Burning Cove and are trying to make it successful.

Lauren_reading When her guest is murdered while performing on stage Matthias Jones steps in to investigate. He knows there is more going on than appears. MCs from previous books make an appearance and Amalie and Jones work together to stay safe and solve the mystery.

There are spies, cryptography, murdering robots, carnival acts and movie stars. There was a lot going on, but it was entertainment and fun.

Rainy day plans.

JenlovesJT47 Just a heads up! My husband was supposed to mail your package on Tuesday (I don‘t drive), and due to his work schedule he was not able to mail it until yesterday morning, but it should be there by tomorrow. I‘m so sorry it‘s late! He told me to tell you it‘s his fault (he didn‘t tell me right away that he didn‘t mail it on time 😆) and he‘s sorry! Again, apologies! I hope you enjoy it once you get it! ❤️ 5y
wen4blu @JenlovesJT47 considerate it serendipity! I'm actually out of town today and will be back tomorrow, so it's perfect. No worries! 5y
JenlovesJT47 Awesome, thanks for understanding! 🤗 5y

A historical, romantic suspense. This series just doesn‘t have the same chemistry, wit, and humor as her others.

Another entertaining installment in the Burning Cove series. I really enjoy the 1930s Hollywood-adjacent setting. Plus the gorgeous cover!

Book Three in the Burning Cove series involves a former trapeze artist, a possible mob connection, a stolen piece of spy equipment, and murder and mayhem. Perfect escape book - easy reading with a hint of suspense. And, of course, romance. Amanda Quick (aka Jayne Ann Krentz) has another winner with this one. Thanks to the publisher and #NetGalley for the the ARC.

#ReadingUSA2019 folks...this series takes place in California!

I have a billion books I should be reading for challenges and for work and for swaps, but I‘m dying to get into this book, which is set to be published in the US on Tuesday. Thankfully, I scored a copy through #NetGalley . My weekend reading.
