Just finished Megan Abbott‘s “The Turnout,” but I didn‘t bring one of the three remaining in my Library Pile at home because I really didn‘t expect to be un-busy enough to finish it. 😂 So I continue to be stuck at four in the Library Pile because I just checked this one out. I really like the setting of these books. 1920s Hollywood is so dreamy and fun. This book had the great mystery and slight level of paranormal that I enjoy from Amanda Quick books.

6 months ago Amalie was a flyer in a traveling circus. She was almost murdered, but she survived. She and her aunt bought a bed and breakfast in Burning Cove and are trying to make it successful.

A historical, romantic suspense. This series just doesn‘t have the same chemistry, wit, and humor as her others.

Another entertaining installment in the Burning Cove series. I really enjoy the 1930s Hollywood-adjacent setting. Plus the gorgeous cover!

Book Three in the Burning Cove series involves a former trapeze artist, a possible mob connection, a stolen piece of spy equipment, and murder and mayhem. Perfect escape book - easy reading with a hint of suspense. And, of course, romance. Amanda Quick (aka Jayne Ann Krentz) has another winner with this one. Thanks to the publisher and #NetGalley for the the ARC.
