This is a cute, fluffy romance.
Not a lot happens in this book, but it is entertaining and easy to read.
It has fake dating and friends to lovers tropes and a little grumpy/sunshine.
I'd recommend if you want something easy and fun to read.

I really enjoyed this book!
It is a sci-fi story about a commoner girl who is out for revenge on the noble family that had her mother assassinated.
She joins a tournament that is essentially space jousting on giant robotic steeds.
Synali's point of view is very sad and lonely. Her goal is to destroy the noble house that killed her mom, and then be put to rest to join her.
It ended on a cliffhanger, so I can't wait for the next book.
This is a cute standalone story of a witch who has trouble controlling her powers. She accidentally causes poisonous flowers to grow from her father's chest, and she becomes an apprentice to a childhood friend to try and learn to gain control and cure her father.
There is not a lot of excitement in this book. It has magic, a little romance, and mystery in it.
I would recommend this to someone who wanted a slow-going, cozy read.
This book was mainly about strategies, with a little but if character development.
Some parts of the end felt a bit rushed. A few characters that rarely spoke, ended up in love and together at the end of the book. There was no build up, just a few sentences between them.
Lia's story did have a satisfying ending.
The Trilogy overall was good, but nothing I would boast about
I liked this one more than the first book. However, I really hope the love triangle is over. I am not a fan of that trope, and it's been a huge part of the first two books.
I really enjoyed the new characters introduced in this book! Aster has my heart.
Lia is a very strong fmc. I think she will be a wonderful queen!
So far, the story is a but uneventful, I am still looking forward to the final book.
This was really good and hard to put down. It is very "young" adult.
I liked that you didn't know which character was the Prince and which was the assassin.
The ending was the best part. It makes you want to pick up the next book immediately.
I'm the type of person who likes to read prequels first, so I read this before starting The Remnant Chronicles and Dance of Thieves.
I really enjoyed this short novella. It is a story of a girl from a peaceful tribe and a boy from a group of scavengers who fall in love. Neither would be accepted into each other's tribes.
They face obstacles as they try to find a better land to call home.
I am looking forward to starting the two series that follow
I devoured this series! The story is fast-paced, emotional, a little dark, and has a little romance.
Tissanah and Max's character development is so well done.
Aefe's story was the best part of this book, in my opinion. Her story is so heartbreaking as she tries to rediscover herself and what it is to be alive.
I loved this trilogy!
This was an amazing sequel to the first book!
The growth from Tissanah and Max was so perfect.
I love that this one bounces back and forth between past and present. By the end of the book, everything came together. It was very well done!
Aefe's story is so sad, I really loved reading her parts.
I can't wait to start the final book!
The plot and world building of this book are so good.
A former slave learns to wield her magic so that she can end slavery for good.
There is a slow burn romance on the side, lots of character development, and very intriguing side characters.
I look forward to the next book!
The story follows two sisters, Zadie and Finn, as they try to find their mother, who disappeared five years ago.
Finn has the ability to see echoes of people's memories. She uses this gift to try and retrace their mother's steps using her pieces of her memory.
The mystery was very intriguing, but the part that bothers me is that Zadie has psychic gifts. Why did she not see her mother's disappearance coming?
Overall, this was a good read.
The story started out promising. A woman buys an old house that is possibly haunted and hires a historian to look into the previous owners.
The story primarily follows Jane while she researches the house's past while dealing with her own personal struggles. The way all the past characters connected was very cool. However, this story goes on a lot of tangents that could have been left out.
Overall, it was good, but I had to push through a bit.
"I am, unfortunately, the Hero of Ages"
This trilogy was amazing!! The magic system is unique. All of the characters' developments were so well done.
There are so many cool races of people, too!
The first half does drag a little with all of the political talk, but the second half is non-stop action. The ending was so perfect and heartbreaking.
I will definitely read more from this author in the future.
This was a great sequel to the Final Empire.
It picks right up where the first left off.
The mists are starting to come during the day and attack people, and Elend is now king and is facing multiple armies trying to take his throne.
Vin is struggling with determining who she really is, as well as seeing a figure made of mist.
The book ends with another twist and another threat.
I am enjoying this series and look forward to the third book.
This is a beautiful book. I could not put it down. It spans from the 1900s to the 1970s.
The book starts with a twelve year old girl who is marrying a forty year old widower with a son. His side of the family suffers from a 'condition' that has caused several family tragedies related to drowning across generations.
The way all of the characters are introduced and how their stories intertwine is so well done.
This is a must-read.
I loved this book! I could not put it down right from beginning to end.
A group of underdogs join together to defeat the Lord Ruler and corrupt nobels.
The magic system is so cool with their magic being rooted by different metals.
All of the characters were likable and had witty conversations.
There are so many twists and turns, heartbreak, and a little bit of romance.
This is a must-read!
I had a hard time getting through this one. I feel like the story could have ended with book 1.
This story was still good, I liked reading about the characters again. However, it was not a huge page turner for me.
This book was jammed pack with content. I can't believe this was only book 1.
I loved all the characters and the plot. There was so much deception. It was hard to know which characters to trust.
Xingyin was an amazing fmc. Her only goal was to free her mother from imprisonment and see her again. She accomplished so much in this book.
And, of course, there are dragons!
I am excited to see what the rest of the series brings!
No surprise, this book was amazing.
I loved reading about Kat's adventures and seeing how much she grew up. Of course, she's still chaotic, but now she is an expert swordswoman and has more control over her emotions and magic.
It's so funny how everyone fell in love with her kitten, Pina. Even the magical creatures couldn't resist her.
I can't wait to read her brother's story when those come out.
I swear each book you read by Delemhach just gets better and better.
It's so fun reading about Kat's training and how she keeps pissing off the nobleman.
I love that everyone who she annoys ends up caring about her and how Faucher's family took her in.
It's also so cute how her kitten familiar, Pina, turns all the serious, grumpy knights into piles of goo as they fawn over her.
I'm on to the last book, and I'm so sad
This one was a flop for me. It felt like everything happened really fast without enough substance to make the story strong.
The fmc and mmc meet, and after one day, they have nothing but sex for five straight days with zero conversation. It was like this book was written for the spicy chapters only, and everything else was an afterthought.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this one.
Kat is such a fun and chaotic character. Like her dad times 100.
I can't wait to learn more about her powers.
It will be fun to see if her familiar will be as ambitious as Kraken
It's nice to see Princess Alina growing into a strong queen. The courtiers in Troivack are very formidable women.
The villains in this series are turning out to be very interesting as well!
I would recommend this author to anyone who loves fantasy, comedy, and mystery.
I love a good romantasy book, and this one is no exception. Monsters living amongst the humans with a Monster Treaty in place to prevent them from harming humans. But of course, not all of the monsters agree with this.
A woman discovers that she may be more than just a human. To find out more about herself, she teams up with a powerful monster to steal something for him.
The world building is so amazing, I can't wait for the rest of this series.
These books are so comical and silly, with just a little darkness. They are hard to put down.
I love all the characters. They are written so well.
It was nice to see Alina grow from timid and being a pushover to forceful and not being afraid to get what she wants.
Kat is very entertaining. After reading The House Witch trilogy, you can see that she is such a perfect mix of both of her parents.
I am still dying to know Tam's power.
Books I read in June.
I read a lot of really good ones this month!
Tagged my favourite one. Although, The House Witch was a very close second!
This was an amazing finish to the Trilogy. It had a really good ending.
Mia developed so much through the series. She goes from a cold person who only wants revenge, to someone who finds friends and family and love.
This trilogy is pretty dark. It's sad, and most characters don't have a happy ending.
It's a very good read!! I would recommend this to anyone who likes dark fantasy
This trilogy is amazing! It is so silly and fun. Even in the midst of a war, you will find yourself chuckling.
The character development throughout the story is so well done. All of the characters grow so much.
I love all the relationships Fin forms with everyone he comes across.
Kraken is amazing.
The king's inner circle is so amusing.
The story is light-hearted and funny with a touch of sadness and darkness.
This book picks up immediately where the first one left off. I love all the stories for the side characters.
The King and Queen's story is so sad and beautiful.
Fin's cat familiar, Kraken, is such a rascal! The fact that he has a little kitten army is amazing and adorable.
I love Fin's mom, Kate. She seems like such a sweet person. Her and Fin's past with his father is so sad.
The third book will be a little more tense now that he has returned.
This trilogy is so amazing. There are so many twists and turns!
Mia is in another competition so that when she wins, she can get close to the two people she wants revenge on.
There is still so much to learn about what she is, a Darkin. I love Mr. Kindly and Eclipse.
This book introduces more loveable characters and, of course, ends with a number of different cliffhangers.
I will be starting the final book right away to see how this ends.
This is such a cute, cozy fantasy read.
I loved all of the characters. Fin's relationships with his staff, the Prince, and Annika are just perfect.
I loved how his familiar cat, Kraken, had a few chapters. "What's the purr?" Is my new favourite thing to say to my cat.
I can't wait to read the rest of this trilogy.
This is such a sad little story. After Julie's boyfriend Sam dies, she calls his phone to hear his voice on his voicemail, but he answers the phone. Their connection is temporary and gets weaker over time. Eventually, she has to let him go and say goodbye so they can both move on. You follow Julie as she deals with her grief and moving forward with her life.
It's very heart-wrenching and sweet.
This was a re-read as I just bought the second and third books, but it's been so long since I read the first.
It was as good as I remembered!
You have to love a book with an assassin who has a shadow cat living in her shadow. I love that she named him as a child, so his name is Mr. Kindly.
This is a fantastic book about a girl training to be an assassin to get revenge for her family.
I can't wait to finish this trilogy!
This begins shortly after the events of book one. It was a little slow and mainly focused on character development. Lore was more passive in this one than the first one.
I really enjoyed this story, I feel like maybe it could have been wrapped up in these two books, but I am looking forward to seeing what book three brings.
I liked this book. The magic system and necromancy were something I've never read about before!
There is a minor love triangle, I don't love those, but it was not a huge part of the story. I really liked Lore and Bastien, Gabe was a bit annoying.
There were so many twists that I wasn't sure who was going to end up being the villain. It did end up being a couple of my guesses.
I am very intrigued by this story, and I can't wait to start book two.
This was an excellent finish to the Trilogy!
Learning a little more about the different tribe leaders was really cool. You got some backstory on some of them and their connections to some of the rebels.
Phoenix really came into her own as a leader despite all of her struggles with her past. Sweet Mouse, my heart just ached for her the whole time.
It is a very satisfying ending to the whole story!
This book picks up right where the first book ends. You get to learn more about Phoenix's past in this one. Some new characters are introduced in this one (good and bad). The minister and Gage are horrible people. I can't wait until they get what's coming to them in book three.
This one ends so abruptly that you will be dying to pick up the final book.
I'm a huge sucker for a fantasy story involving magic and dragons, so I obviously gave this 5 stars.
This story has everything. Magic, dragons, mystery, plot twists, love, heartaches etc, etc.
Of course, it ends with a cliffhanger, I hope book two is just as good!
This is an adorable romcom novel.
I loved both characters and the fact that they help each other with their issues. The letters back and forth we very cute and entertaining.
It has a fake-dating trope and a "one bed" trope.
I don't like to "DNF" any book, but I came close to it a few times reading this one. It felt like I read the same book 3 times during this trilogy.
The plot had potential in the first book, but it did not go anywhere. The same conversations are had in each book. There is constant planning, but nothing really happens. There's very long descriptions of physics from each character's POV, so you're basically reading the same thing over and over again.
This one was similar to the first book, not a huge plot, but a lot of drama with the characters.
I feel like this is setting up a lot for the third book.
Everything that was at a standstill in this one started to unravel at the end. I am hoping the third one wraps it all up nicely!
If you like dark academia vibes, you will like this book.
Six people with different magical abilities are chosen to protect the Alexandrian Library as a part of a test to be initiated. Only 5 will pass, and they have to unanimously decide which one will be eliminated.
You get to read each person's perspective so you get to know each candidate.
There was quite a plot twist at the end. I can't wait to reach the other two books.
I wasn't really excited for this book as you don't get to read about Gregory that much in the other books.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I loved Gregory and Lucy!
I love that Gregory was dead set on marrying for love like his siblings did.
I really enjoyed this series, and I loved how each sibling had such a different storyline!
Hyacinth is one of my favourite Bridgertons. I love that she reads cheesy romance novels to Lady Danbury.
I liked Gareth as well, except his plan to trap her into marriage.
I really like that this one included a mystery aspect as well! That was a nice addition.
Francesca drove me a little nuts throughout this book.
She was back and forth way too much with what she wanted.
Her fertility issues really touched home for me, I can relate to how she felt.
I love that each book is a little different. Each of the Bridgerton's have a different experience!
I didn't like this one as much. I liked Eloise but did not care for Phillip.
This one did not have as much build up as the others.
I did like that the male protagonist already had children. It was a nice change from the others.
This is my favorite of the Bridgerton series so far!
From the previous 3, I liked Colin the best, so I couldn't wait to get to his story.
I really liked Penelope! I love how Lady Danbury brought out her confidence!
This one is a Cinderella re-telling.
I really liked Sophie. She was very confident and knew what she wanted even when her life was in a bad place.
I like and hate Benedict. He could be charming and sweet, but he also wouldn't take no for an answer.
I loved how Posy's story ended up!
I didn't really enjoy this one.
It is like the show Wednesday with spicy scenes.
I felt there was a lot of build-up for the mystery surrounding the school and the murders, but it was wrapped up really fast. I probably wouldn't recommend this.
I didn't like this one as much as the first.
I found it a little slower. I did really like Kate, Anthony, not so much. I didn't find him very likable.
I can't wait to read the other books, though. They are entertaining for sure.
I've never seen the show, so I don't know how they compare, but this is a great book!
I found it hard to put down. It's very entertaining. Some parts were surprising.
I'm going to have to read the rest to find out who Lady Whistledown is.
