Really enjoying this series 3/12.
Though Matilda takes ‘off the books‘ to another level in this one. And that ending! What‘s going to happen there.

#12booksof2022 Tough call, best book in April. Can‘t really choose between these three. I chose A Room Full of Killers because I still remember it well, and it chills my bones. I am pretty sure this won‘t be the only time the fantastic author Michael Wood tops my list in 2022!

Andrew65 Matilda Darke us such a fabulous series. The other books on the picture are good, but Michael would always win for me and the books are set not that far away from where I live too. 1y

Another very good book in the excellent DI Matilda Darke series, which is set in Sheffield in Yorkshire. Although a really good read this wasn‘t my favourite one in the series, seemed to have less of the characters and their lives in. Some of the suspects were child killers and that made it a bit tough to read at times. Still recommend it however. Now onto book 4.

Book 2 read in July.

AllDebooks That's my hometown!!! Although I'm in Derbyshire now. Might have to seek it out to see which parts of the steel city crop up? 2y
Andrew65 @AllDebooks I‘m not from the area originally, but we are now living in South Yorkshire but about 15 miles from Sheffield. They are definitely worth a read. (edited) 2y

If you have not read this series and you love detective stories you are really missing out! Fantastic series!! Amazon UK deal today. This is book 3.

Andrew65 Totally love this series! And set in Sheffield, not far from where I live. 2y
Tove_Reads @andrew65 Indeed! Fantastic series! I wonder why so many are not popular or famous. Same as why someone becomes an artist while others (way better according to me) never make it. Really wonder why M. A. Hunter can‘t get an agent!!!! His missing children‘s files series is superb! 2y
