I was reading this often while distracted. I really feel like I would have “enjoyed” the scary atmosphere of it more, had those distractions not been there. One thing I didn‘t like, though, was that not everything was revealed to the reader at the end (unless I was distracted when it was?). Cont in comments...

LibraryCin Not everything I read needs to be tidied up at the end, but it seemed Aaron knew about it - it just wasn‘t revealed to the reader, and I would have liked to have known what that little tidbit was. There were definitely some surprises I would not have guessed at. 3y

When I was growing up, this was as much a part of Christmas as Rudolph, Frosty and the Grinch. I've seen it a dozen time and still enjoy it today.

As the first episode of season 2, #TheHomecoming was kind of lackluster. True it was only part one of a three part story, but not a lot happens, it's all set up. Too much Bajorian politics is always dull.

On the death of their father, Aaron Quinlan & his 2 sisters are summoned to the estate of Belfountain. There they find out the vast estate belonged to their father & they can inherit - but only if they stay there for 30 days.

This was a fairly good read & didn‘t go in the direction I initially thought it would. I didn‘t become invested in any of the characters though & the ending was wrapped up too neatly. 3⭐️

This was just okay for me. The first 1/2 of this book had me hooked, and I found this to be a fast and easy read. However, I did not love all of the twists and ultimately the story was just so-so for me. Also, the hints at the outside world were never followed up on, and I found it distracted from the story more than making me curious.

If your looking for an excellent creepy story, I suggest The Homecoming, due the end of Feb on Simon & Schuster/Canada.....
The beginning will make you tense, and scared. By the end you will be completely blown away by the twist that takes this a whole new level of creepy!

After the death of their absentee father, the Quinlan family is summoned to his secret estate, where they learn that they will inherit millions of dollars on one condition: that they remain at the estate for 30 days.

I really loved the first half of this suspenseful book, but the last third fell short. One of my biggest issues was the treatment of a character with bipolar disorder. I‘m conflicted on this one ⬇️
