Tales from the Gas Station: Volume One | Jack Townsend
7 posts | 4 read | 1 reading | 4 to read
Working at a dead-end retail job in the middle of nowhere can be hard. The long hours. The helpless customers. The enormous eldritch horror living deep below the buildingAs the only full-time employee at the twenty-four hour gas station at the edge of town, Jack has pretty much seen it all. But when he decides to start an online journal documenting the bizarre day-to-day occurrences, he unwittingly attracts the attention of much more than just a few conspiracy theorists. With the body count steadily on the rise and a dark, ancient force infecting the dreams of everyone around him, Jack will do everything in his power to stay out of the way and mind his own business. After all, he's just a gas station clerk. It's not like he's getting paid enough to wage battle against the nightmarish aberrations plaguing his community. Besides, he already has his hands full attempting to manage all those mysterious lawn gnomes, the mutant raccoons, and the charming phantom cowboy who lives in the bathroom.Based on the award-winning creepypasta by GasStationJack, Tales from the Gas Station: Volume One is a love letter to the pioneers of classic horror tailored to a generation that grew up in the era of smartphones and WiFi.

Reddit is a great place to read some original stuff…and where Jack Townsend started off with his stories about a gas station, demons in the the lovecraftian tradition, Jerry, and what you would expect from the 24/7 service station in the middle of nowhere. I would say it‘s like Jason Parkinson‘s John, Dave, and Amy books meets an off brand Chevron insomniac clerk. And Jerry. Read about it: https://tinyurl.com/yaeu6ev4

I know there are still a few days left in February but after finishing the tagged book I am declaring FEBRUARY OVER! 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Special thanks to @patchshank for bringing it to my attention during #NYWD2021 and to @monalyisha for setting us up.

You‘re a full time clerk in a rundown gas station at the edge of town. You‘re a recluse and an avid reader with presumably a wild imagination and failing memory. So, when your shrink wants you to ⬇️

Read-y_Picker start keeping a journal , naturally you start a blog to which you post accounts of the seriously messed up paranormal phenomena you witness daily. A naked cowboy ghost in the restroom, killer mutant raccoons, garden gnomes, hand plants (you read that right, don‘t ask), and a lot more… this novel by a real-life gas station clerk-turned-blogger is a veritable roller coaster of WTF-did-I-just-read to the very last page. 👏👏🎬 2y

Hmmmmm...🤔
Thoughts? Opinions? What defines a sandwich?
I wouldn't argue that they're tacos. Too many differences with very few similarities.

Ruthiella Can‘t it be its own thing?🤔 4y
Patchshank @Ruthiella That's what I thought, but I guess sandwich or taco are our only options. I don't know who decides these things. 4y
