So schrieb die New York Times ber Frank McCourts Bestseller.

I read Angela‘s Ashes nearly 25 years ago and his story is seared into my head and heart. I finally got to this and reading how he negotiated NYC as a 19–yr old with his strong brogue and red eyes immediately had me feeling as though I‘d finished his first book only a day prior. This was a great book to read on the Eve of St Patrick‘s Day!

kspenmoll I loved Angela‘s Ashes. Your review makes me want to pick up the tagged book. Only 19 & teaching in Brooklyn- wow. 2y
marleed @kspenmoll I guess Angela‘s Ashes was so emotional for me that I just never ventured to his follow up books fearing I‘d be a wreck for weeks to come. I did read a book written by his brother Malachi long ago who had a humorous narrative to his life experiences. Now I need to read Teacher Man! 2y
kspenmoll I was able to be at a reading Frank McCourt gave- I had him write a message to my 2 yr old son when he autographed his book. He gave an entertaining reading & he made you feel he had all the time in the world to spend with you. 2y
marleed @kspenmoll That is so cool - what a treasure! 2y

This is not as intensive as Angela‘s ashes but still funny. #2004

Camping this weekend with my son's Cub Scout Pack. I thought I came without a book, but was very relieved to find this old copy of 'Tis in my bag. Now I'm tent reading. ⛺️

I. LOVED. THIS. MEMOIR!!!!!! For #booktober day 11, one of the most heart-wrenching (& hilarious) pieces of NF I've read. A fantastic and worthy read about one young man's immigration experience. #memorablememoirs
