pickI got started on #ComicsBingo right away, because why not. The art grew on me; the story felt a little bit rushed, but I had fun anyway with Lupe -- and all her facial expressions. So teenage. 🤣
The ending was maybe a bit trite.
It's a light pick, like 3/5 stars (“liked it“) on my usual rating scale, but I had fun.
so-soAn awkward, excitable, and easily discouraged teenager gains superpowers on her 15th birthday and discovers that it‘s tough balancing her crime fighting duties with her life. Overall, a fun read with a Hispanic superhero girl, but the pacing and concept didn‘t capture me. It was hard to tell who the intended audience was since this reads like middle grade.
