One kidnapping. One cold case. Two amateur investigators. Only 48 hours to solve the crime... Jazzs best friend Anika has been kidnapped! She cant call the cops, so Jazz forges a shaky truce with her brilliant nemesis, Phoenix, to help her investigate. Together, they uncover clues and crime scene evidence. Sneaking into a forensic lab, they test DNA, fingerprints and more, to piece the clues together. The results are shocking. Could it really lead to a twenty-year-old murder case?< In a race against time, Jazz and Phoenix only have 48 HOURS to collect the evidence, profile the kidnapper and find their schoolmates location, or Anika will die. The clock is ticking...

Mehso-so

Good middle grade read, the crime/mystery is a little predictable but still interesting enough to keep me reading. Young teens will appreciate it more, but I would read the second book if I get it with my next consignment order.

Pickpick

My 10 year old is loving this book atm. Although she rarely finishes a novel, aside from Anh Do, 13th Story Treehouse, Diary of a Wimpy Kid style books, she is whizzing through this one & is excited to be at the halfway point already! She proceeded to tell me all about it this evening. So perhaps she's finally found a genre she really enjoys. My girl is growing up

Curiouser_and_curiouser Thank you @StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego , I'm enjoying Litsy a little too much at the moment, I'm hoping the novelty wears off a little so I can concentrate on reading a book! It sure is fun though 😊 5y
StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego @Curiouser_and_curiouser 🤣 I had the same problem. Glad you're enjoying it. 5y
Curiouser_and_curiouser @StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego ok, as long as I'm not the only one....😂 5y
Zelma @Curiouser_and_curiouser I go through phases. Some days I only want to play on Litsy, and others are just reading days. Have been reading more and posting less recently due to heavier work schedule and less free time. 5y
Curiouser_and_curiouser @Zelma yeah ok, i guess that's me too atm. It's been so many years for me not reading that I feel I'm reaquainting myself with books all over again and am a little over excited. I have a large collection of books from BC (before children) that I browse through every day in disbelief that I actually have the time to read them now that my youngest is at school, I only had to wait 16 years 😉 Loving Litsy though 5y
UwannaPublishme Your daughter is adorable! 💕Welcome to Litsy! 5y
