*A Barnes & Noble Teen Blog's Most Anticipated LGBTQAP YA Book of 2019* Jenna Watson is a cheerleader. And she wants you to know it’s not some Hollywood crap: they are not every guy’s fantasy. They are not the “mean girls” of Marsen High School. They’re literally just human females trying to live their lives and do a perfect toe touch. And their team is at the top of their game. They’re a family. But all that changes when Jenna’s best friend stops talking to her. Suddenly, she’s not getting invited out with the rest of the quad. She’s always a step behind. And she has no idea why. While grappling with post-cheer life, Jenna explores things she never allowed herself to like, including LARPing (live action role playing) and a relationship with a trans guy that feels a lot like love. When Jenna loses the sport and the friends she’s always loved, she has to ask herself: What else is left?

I found this one while looking up books that feature a #Squad for the #DisneyReadathon. I couldn't think of anything I had that really sparked an interest yet still kept in line with the actual prompt... so when Squad popped up and the tagline was "Heathers meets Mean Girls..." I knew I needed to read it. I'm so glad I did! The sarcastic, petty conversations held between the main character & practically EVERYONE (including herself) ⬇

vkois88 literally had me laughing out loud at some parts. Also unexpected were the LGBTQ+ reps involved. Overall this was a fun, quick read. 4🌟 5y

I really YA novels that focus on friendship and finding oneself. This book was no different. I really enjoyed this book.

Jude is being so cuddly and making it a little hard to read!

Lovesbooks87 Can't wait to hear what you think about this. I was eyeing this book up at B&N the past couple of weeks! 5y
pocketmermaid @Lovesbooks87 I‘m about 50 pages in and so far I find the writing style a little ... weird. Not bad, just unpolished? Jude finally zonked out, so I can finally get back to reading! 5y
