I found this one while looking up books that feature a #Squad for the #DisneyReadathon. I couldn't think of anything I had that really sparked an interest yet still kept in line with the actual prompt... so when Squad popped up and the tagline was "Heathers meets Mean Girls..." I knew I needed to read it. I'm so glad I did! The sarcastic, petty conversations held between the main character & practically EVERYONE (including herself) ⬇

vkois88 literally had me laughing out loud at some parts. Also unexpected were the LGBTQ+ reps involved. Overall this was a fun, quick read. 4🌟 5y

The world and character building in this book are insane. Idk why it's taken me so long to read Laini Taylor, but I have finished two of her books in as many weeks and I'm REALLY liking them! 4🌟

Also, book #2 completed for the #DisneyReadathon.

violabrain I am not a fantasy person at all because I usually find world building to be incredibly irritating, but I absolutely loved these two books! 5y

vkois88 @violabrain it's been my goal this year to branch out and get more comfortable reading YA Fantasy, and I have encountered so many awesome books I was missing out on! I am definitely putting Muse of Nightmares on hold immediately. @rachelsbrittain she's incredible! I was following her on IG, I just hadn't picked anything up yet. So glad I did! @anne 5y
