A good look at the bully's perspective, and a main character who is difficult to like or even understand for much of the book. Maciel does well fleshing out Sara's descent into mean girl-hood, alternating chapters between present and past. We never find out a lot about the victim, which makes sense with Sara telling the story. We only know what she knows. I have one big complaint (see comments).

Ok, this cover is ugly - but this book is a fantastic look at how poor choices and cruelty can ruin your life.

Five high school students bully another girl until she kills herself. The students are criminally charged in her death.

This book isn't easy to read. It's like the other side of 13 Reasons Why, it's the bully's perspective. You won't like the main character, but that's okay. I couldn't put this book down and found it so addicting (in not a good way). You can clearly see when the girls stepped over the line, and can't help but feel helpless as you switch between the current day, and the last, knowing what will happen.

This sir is not a bookcase. This is a tease. What am I supposed to do with that?

At first I was kind of bored with the storyline because nothing was happening...bu then it started picking up the pace with all the events leading up to the incident. I know that I hated Sara because she didn't have no motive. Bullying is something no one should have to go through.

I honestly recommend it! Great read, it covers the poor choices and the consequences that lead to that point.
