Current status. ❤️
I feel like maybe an editor could have been used here. Also, this one takes a weird religious tone about half way through. I wanted to like it. I really did. ⭐️⭐️
Weekend plans. 👏🏼
Why yes, it is Friday at five and I‘m in my soft clothes eating a breakfast bar and drinking iced coffee.
Edward Lee is giving me a new love for food writing.
This one has been hyped everywhere and that usually isn‘t a good sign for me. While I really enjoyed the second half of the book I almost put it down during the first. I also dont love police procedurals so maybe I was doomed from the start. 🤷🏻♀️
Bailey and I had a really beautiful Sunday morning though. ❤️
Happy FriYAY littens! I‘ve acquired my favorite post-work-Friday cup of coffee and my soft clothes and I can‘t wait to spend the weekend with my books and my dog.
I‘m currently reading The Whisper Man and I can‘t decide if I think it lives up the hype or not. Have you read it?! If so, was it hype worthy?
Hi Littens! 👋🏼👋🏼
Please welcome (and give a bunch of Litsy love to) my IRL friend @Pattyisbooked
Her bookstagram is one of my all time favorites and she is one of the funniest people I know.
Has anyone else listened to this? I‘m enjoying the audio currently, but it‘s wildly insane. Giving me all the creeps.
I am having a hell of a week over here and am so happy to see Thursday.
How did I wait so long to read this gorgeous novel? Gobbling it up in every spare second today.
Currently enjoying the perfect rainy Sunday. ❤️
I was not emotionally prepared for this memoir. It‘s a gut punch. There‘s so much interesting history here about medicine and I couldn‘t imagine learning the things this woman did. I consumed the entire audiobook in one after.
Happy FriYAY friends 🎉
This mornings audiobook.
Windows open. Soft clothes on. The coffee is hot. ❤️
These get better and better as I go. I devoured book 4 in less than three days.
Book 2 of #summersendreadathon finished.
Iowa weather is a gorgeous thing right now. I laid down for a ten minute nap three hours ago and just woke up. Finally getting into the #summersendreadathon. Hoping to finish up this one!
I‘m hoping to participate in the #summersendreadathon this week. I‘m still working, but I love any reason to read extra.
Starting off with the tagged audiobook.
I just finished watching the entire Friends series last week.
I know. I know. What have I been doing with my life?
While friends is absolutely problematic in 2019 this book was the perfect companion for finishing the series.
These seem to be getting better as I go. I really enjoyed this one!
“She didn‘t need to be taught her silence, it was all around her. This is how power works.”
“When I ask what is happening to our churches, what I really want to know is what is happening to our souls.”
“Churches are supposed to be places of openness and community. But often, like the land, they isolate more than they unite. And the story of who leaves the church is just as important as the story of who stays.”
Could I possibly be more obsessed with this series?
I swear the second one was better than the first.
Daughter of death trained as assassins ✔️
A “beast” of a man who saves the good people ✔️
A relationship that develops over the love of killing the bad guys ✔️
This book shook me to my core. Get the audiobook. Enjoy the ride. I cried while cooking dinner at least once and multiple times in the car and at least once at my desk.
Our local indie bookstore is going out of business at the end of the month.
Made a quick pit stop there after work and picked up these beauties.
Not my favorite so far from the #mmdsummerreadingguide. It really reminded me of The Time Travelers Wife which was a miss for me as well. Enjoyable, but it won‘t be making my favorites list.
This was the best audiobook I‘ve listened to in a long time.
Evvie Drake had her suit case packed and was leaving her emotionally abusive husband when she received the phone call that he had died in a car accident. This is a story about loss when you feel freed rather than grieving and the guilt that comes with that. It was fantastic.
I have so many feelings/questions about this book. It‘s amazing, but uncomfortable. At times I questioned these women‘s choices and at other times I found them embarrassingly familiar. I was outraged at the way they were treated, but knew I would have judged or had been judged similarly myself. There‘s so much here.
I got so close to finishing #24in48 and then I got a headache. 🤣🤣
