Well, this is Mary Higgins Clark‘s final book. In my opinion, she finished strong with this story. Gina, a freelance journalist is sought out to investigate one woman‘s report of a bad experience with her previous employer in the news media industry. The investigation impacts Gina‘s personal and work life, forcing her to make impossible decisions. All the while, she is navigating the recent loss of her mother. #MountTBR

Finally I got a BINGO! Mary Higgins Clark is the author that made me fall in love with reading and I am sad that there will be no more new books left of hers to read. She was an amazing author who will be truly missed!

It was ok definitely an abrupt ending. A little boring I had to read other books in between because it felt like it was dragging... But I really wanted to push through more than anything cause it was a Christmas present otherwise I may have Dnf'ed

#2019Book96
As always, Mary Higgins Clark delivers another great suspense novel. And this one has the added bonus of tackling a very important current problem within our society.

amandaw87 I really need to revisit Mary Higgins Clark. I stopped reading her in high school because I could predict the outcome of every single book she wrote, but it's been long enough now, I think I would enjoy her again. 4y

In the latest novel by “The Queen of Suspense,” I found it to be quite opposite. I didn‘t connect to any of the characters the way I had hoped to, and it seemed to be a jumble of all the prevalent issues we are facing currently with social media, the me too movement, etc. I feel like if she had focused one particular aspect without ⤵️

vkois88 jumping around and throwing so many people into the mix, it could have been a great book. It was easy to solve who had committed the crimes early on, and I feel like there wasn‘t any real closure in some aspects. Overall I‘d have to give this one 3/3.5⭐️ 4y
