"Illustrated in dePaola's signature style, this has an inviting look. Buoyant watercolors are framed by thin orange borders....An engaging read-aloud choice for St. Patrick's Day." -- BooklistA Cheery picture book, with the artist using the lighter, brighter side of his palette....Attractive and amusing." -- Kirkus Reviews

It‘s the perfect day to begin reading this collection of short stories tied by a marble shamrock. ☘️ I‘m so happy to have been part of this project! (Which hasn‘t been added to Litsy yet, apparently.) Treasures: Visible & Invisible.

This TL is about Jamie O‘Bourke, whom was the laziest man in Ireland that made his wife plant and dig up potatoes on her own, until she hurt her back, making him have to figure out something on his own. When a leprechaun showed up, Jamie was fooled, or so his wife thought, and took a seed instead of the leprechaun‘s pot of gold. Can you infer what happens next? Well, I won‘t spoil the ending for you guys!

Ashley_B I would use this as a S in my class, as the students would enjoy this! Using UDL design 1.3 (Offer alternatives for visual information), I would provide pictures on the white board. I would also use ESOL strategy 44 (Focus on thinking skills; predict, categorize, classify, observe and report (oral-written pictorial), sequence, summarize).

DrSpalding Minor error in the title. We were so sad to hear of the author‘s recent passing! His books would make for a great storytellings along with readers theater or read aloud. 5y
