Op shopping after work recently. No more work now as I am officially on my 1st day of my summer holidays! I only just made my train to the cabin to go water skiing for the next 4 days with my parents and sisters and their families. We go there every summer. The tagged 📕 is for my niece and nephews as they are heading to Ireland this year for one of their old nanny‘s wedding. The floaty is for my littlest nephew who is currently learning to swim.

CarolynM Thank you for the Readings voucher Allissa. Hope you had a lovely Christmas Day 😘 10h

Didn't love this one as much as the other two I've read from this author but still very much enjoyed 😊

I‘ve got most of my to-do list done, so it‘s time for a book & Casey break! I started GO LUCK YOURSELF last night and almost abandoned it because I wasn‘t really feeling it. I‘m enjoying it a bit more now, past the 100-page mark, but I still don‘t feel as strongly as I want to. A lot of my issues with THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE KISSMAS are still very much present, and there‘s just not enough of a spark to overcome them.

I greatly enjoyed this return to the holiday worlds, this time following Kris as he tries to solve the problem of magic theft. This enemies-to-lovers romance is just as hilarious, charming, and sexy as the first book, and is definitely joining Nightmare Before Kissmas as a top favorite for the year. #LGBTQIA #Holiday #Romance

Kenyazero Used for #LGBTQIA2025 bilingual character; #GottaCatchEmAll Goomy: a slimy character @puddlejumper; and #OwlHouseReadathon Philip: a conniving character 3mo
Jari-chan Can't wait for the next one in the series! 3mo

This follow up was super cute and just ringing with joy. I really enjoyed Kris‘ inner explorations, and the way his developing feelings for Loch helped him to come to some hard realizations about himself. I do wish we‘d gotten a little more on Loch, but overall a really sweet rom-com style story, with lots to love. Looking forward to more from this author and tempted to try her YA stuff…

The past month has been busy - went to Calgary and saw this adorable puppy pile and included a photo from a trip to the museum I made here. So I‘ve been listening to romantsy books. These two were okay but they both , and I never thought I would say this, have too much sex and not enough story 😱. I enjoy spicy 🌶️ reads but I think they have to grab my imagination with a novel idea or a twist . Maybe I wasn‘t in the right mood? 🐉

Similar to the 1st book, this story, was fun and full of banter, sexy accents, and growing friendships (enemies to friends to lovers, AHHHHH), but I actually liked it more bc of the healing aspects. Being the 2nd prince, Kris has a low self-esteem and seeing him (eventually) start to heal from his traumas was 🤌💯

I loved the brotherly moments, the vulnerability, and ✨ body worship ✨. Because Kris deserves all that kindness and affection 👏👏

Kris, youngest son of the Christmas king plays a prank on a fellow student at Uni. He‘s the most surprised when that student turns out to be Lochlann, the prince of St. Patrick‘s Day. When he goes to Ireland to apologize and investigate who is stealing Christmas‘ magic, he wasn‘t expecting to fall in love.
Fewer politics than the first one and much more sibling/friend dynamics which I enjoyed.

I loved this book. It's the sequel to The Nightmare Before Kissmas, which was also fantastic.
Kris (the younger prince of Christmas) played a nasty but funny joke on Lochlann (the prince of St. Patrick's Day) and is then sent there to apologize. And they fall for each other 💚🌈💚
