I preferred her Fatal series...
This was SO CLOSE to a Pick, y‘all. It‘s got lots of sweet moments and an adorable baby.
It‘s also got a hero who steamrolls right over the heroine‘s stated wishes again and again and again. He consistently casts women as either good girls or bimbos, too—something he must‘ve learned from his Awful Mother, who‘s such a stereotype she demands capitalization.
So, nope. Can‘t rec this one.
I was gonna have a beer while I started my first Marie Force, but it‘s been ages since I had a gimlet and I DID promise my mum I‘d deal with her excessively full sideboard.
(NB: I made this promise four years ago. I like alcohol but I don‘t like being drunk, so it‘s gonna take me a while longer.)
I‘m on the fence about MAID FOR LOVE. It feels like it‘s got potential, but the male lead‘s made a few offputting comments in the first two chapters.
A reread for me but I enjoy series books set in small towns involving families and I enjoy the McCarthy family. This first one centered around Mac Jr. falling in insta love with a maid in his families hotel it a good one too. Maddie has an undeserved reputation in town and Mac bumbles his way through “fixing” it for her but it‘s very sweet all the same. Pretty sure this is book 6 for week 6 of #bfc @wanderinglynn #finishstrong
I wish I was at the beach...
I will always adore this book.
If you love cheesy romances featuring a big strong man and a bunch of twists and turns, Maid for Love is for you!
Love my job! Where else can you at paid to read your favorite series over and over again? #LiquorStoreBlues ♥📚♥
