It‘s not too important but I noticed that by finishing this one yesterday I have already reached my #BookishGoal.

Remember, I wanted to diminish the media (ebooks and audiobooks) on my online library‘s wish list to 42. Well, after I started on 31st December/1st January at 84 items – here I am now . 🎩😊

Quickly read, sweet and heart-warming read but too predictable.

I liked it for the passion for food and the power everyone has to change things, that the plot shows. But at the same time it was too simple for me.

It‘s sweet with charming ideas. That‘s why I liked it. But it‘s clearly for a younger audience. That‘s why I lower my sights. At least for an adult read.

The story and its personnel are both a bit broad-brushed so that quite right from the beginning you wonder why no one understands that the condition the cafe is in might be part of the problem but I like the “British style� it transports for example when describing how the High Street looks. Aptly.

And no doubt: It makes you hungry. 😄
