so-soI get the idea but the story told is not as “brilliant and moving” to me as the quote from the “Sunday Star Times” tells me it is.
The story shall also be “sweeping, clever and unforgettable”. For me it‘s none of that. It‘s not that the story is boring – but … 🤷🏽♀️ … faint. The only character I wanted to read more of was Stanzi. Towards the end there was density but despite that I don‘t think it will be a book I will remember for long.
I think I like this one so far but when it comes to cooking and eating audiobooks always win.
They simply seem to be made for multitasking. 😄
So I finished the “Mississippi” first – I had not much left and managed to make the ends (of dinner and audiobook) meet. 😂
But now on I go with this one.

As I went through my physical sub I discovered that there‘s only thrillers or psychological thrillers or (assumingly) strong stuff on it.
But I am in the mood for something lighter. Something for summer days. 🌺☀️ Something a bit more uplifting.

My coffee machine got broken yesterday so we went buying a new one this morning but disappointingly the style of machine I wanted seemingly is no longer produced. I needed to take a model that is not even second best in my opinion on the one hand but the best I could get on the other hand.
That said it was my significant other suggesting to have a look at their books.
