I get the idea but the story told is not as “brilliant and moving” to me as the quote from the “Sunday Star Times” tells me it is.
The story shall also be “sweeping, clever and unforgettable”. For me it‘s none of that. It‘s not that the story is boring – but … 🤷🏽♀️ … faint. The only character I wanted to read more of was Stanzi. Towards the end there was density but despite that I don‘t think it will be a book I will remember for long.
