Pickpick

Not as dark or gripping as the blurb suggested but a reasonably enjoyable read about relationships and toxic friendships.

Chelleo Ohhh. Stacking this for #litsybythenumbers #nine #lbtn9 2y

Playing catch up with #novemberbythenumbers - this #nine ebook bundle has been on my library wishlist since I stumbled across it in the catalogue. I had never heard of Mazo de la Roche and I am so intrigued to read her. I always want to read more #canlit ladies! But I'm a little nervous at 9 books in one library loan. I mean I can always renew/request again, but it still feels like a big commitment.

Number 9 in the series, it takes us back to the beginnings of the story of PERN and turns everything on its head, making Science Fiction out of this supremely Fantasy series.

If you are unfamiliar with PERN, it is a low-tech society on a planet that is threatened more or less regularly by a killer substance that falls from space. Only the Dragons and their Riders keep them all alive! Great fun!

I see someone else thought of #Nine Princes in Amber for #novemberbythenumbers. I had a good time reading this book (and first four others in the Amber Chronicles), but ultimately wasn‘t a huge fan and didn‘t continue the series.

I️ was really looking forward to reading this one, but like so many of my books, it slides down the TBR when newer books get piled on top of it 🙃 #bookwormproblems #nine #NovemberByTheNumbers @JoeStalksBeck @Tiffy_Reads

I loved this book when I read it a while ago - kind of slow, dreamy and weird.

BookNAround How can you go wrong with a title like that plus a garden gnome on the cover? 😂 2y
Gezemice @BookNAround Right! 😊 2y

My entire collection of books with the #Nine in the title is sadly lacking! 😳 Haven‘t read either of them but I will.... someday...🤞

DebbieGrillo Oh if you love historical fiction you must move Charlotte Taylor up on the list! It was SO good! 2y
CoverToCoverGirl @DebbieGrillo Historical fiction happens to be my favourite genre.. hoping to get to it soon and I bumped it up my list about ten spots because of your strong recommendation! Thanks! 2y
