Ticket to Ride: Inside the Beatles' 1964 Tour That Changed the World [With CD (Audio)]
Ticket to Ride: Inside the Beatles' 1964 Tour That Changed the World [With CD (Audio)] | Larry Kane

(Book). In 1964-1965, Larry Kane was the only American reporter, broadcast or newspaper, to travel with the Fab Four on every stop of their North American tour. In Ticket to Ride, Kane tells the story of what it was like to literally live with the four young men who would leave an indelible mark on contemporary music. Weaving in the voices of the Beatles themselves and covering the electrifying action of the road-the performances, the mischief, and all the players who cropped up along the way during those key years that catapulted the Beatles to major success Ticket to Ride is unlike any other book on the Beatles. The story is told from the perspective of a seasoned journalist, who at the time of the tour was just coming into his own in a nation that was bracing for the Vietnam War, the civil rights movement, and a radical shift in rock-and-roll music. Twenty-one and eager to cover "big news," Kane unknowingly was in the process of covering one of the biggest music events in history. Ticket to Ride is an inside account of these exciting years during the career of the band that redefined rock and roll. A must-have for Beatles fans, this paperback edition includes a foreword by the legendary Dick Clark, a CD of bonus interview material, rare photographs, and an appendix detailing tour schedules.

Last year my boyfriend and I had a “Ticket to Ride” to visit Las Vegas and attend the Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil show. This was the most amazing experience and definitely surpassed my expectations! We were in the front row so we were really in the thick of things. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a show to see in Vegas! Photo taken just outside the theater.

Reggie What a great photo!! Ya‘ll look so nice!! 7y
Kimberlone @Reggie aww thanks! Living in AK there‘s not a lot of opportunity to get dressed to the nines, so we definitely took advantage of going to a show in Vegas. Pretty sure that was the first and last time so far he has worn that suit! 7y

🎶I think I‘m gonna be sad
I think it‘s todaaaaay, yeah🎵

I was almost a decade away from existence when The Beatles broke up, so I didn‘t experience Beatlemania. I‘ve been lucky enough to see Paul & Ringo on tour, though, and there‘s a great cover band called The Fab Faux who sound amazing. They perform albums that the lads never did live on stage!

Anyone lucky enough to see the band live?

Cinfhen @Suzze saw them preform live 🙌🏻😀 (edited) 7y
Itchyfeetreader My dad used to sneak out of school to listen to them practice of an afternoon. I thus listened to a lot of Beatles growing up😂 7y
Suzze @Cinfhen Yes! I‘ve seen them twice. 1964 (my first concert at age 11) and 1966. I remember it like it was just the other day. Such excitement! 7y

TheDaysGoBy Unfortunately I wasn't born early enough to see them live. I've never heard of the Fab Faux but I saw a great tribute band in Vegas 7y
