This story is retold in a way that is more mature. It still used the same classic story and some sayings.

He gave up crime and spent the rest of his life as a mellow beach bum lolling about on the Gulf of Pasta.
This version of the three little pigs includes the pigs running a waffle stand, even referring to the wolf as a wolffle in the mindset of the book. I liked the comedy in this story and the way the pigs sizzled the meanness out of the wolf using the waffle iron.
This version of the well known story was published in 1977. The silly story of the three little pigs is illustrated with fine details and lots of color. It talks about defeating the trickster the wolf and how he has changed.
I loved this book growing up. It teaches such a life lesson to not “cry wolf”. I think alot of students can relate with this book.
This book was published in 1997. It has great illustrations and lots of humor that kids would enjoy. I really liked how different but similar this particular pig story was.
“You‘ll soon be a wolffle!”
I love how they use their waffle machine to teach him a lesson and make a joke about a wolf waffle, a wolffle.
I love the different back story the pigs had, where the family make waffles and going through schooling and graduation before the three of them built their own houses.
This is a retell of the class children literature story, The Three Little Pigs, but there is a fun twist on it. It shows their life leading up to building their different homes. A little different ending too, the wolf goes down the chimney but lands on their waffle steamer, where they waffle steamed the meanness out of the wolf and sends him to a beach!
“ He gave up crime and spent the rest of his life as a mellow beach bum….”
The three little pigs, by Steven Kellogg (1997) is a classic. It tells the story of three little pigs and a big bad wolf. The book has great, very detailed illustrations. This book also tells a great story about kindness.
A classic with a twist! The illustrations are beautiful, plentiful and add hints of comedic relief. This is a great read aloud for children around grade school age.
This book is a classic, but adds a twist. It adds some differences in the illustration and text to make it different and perhaps funnier than the original
The three little pigs run their own waffle buisness and it is different from the original. I think this book would be a great read for children.
I like this book because it is a different “three little pigs“ book where they operate their own waffle buisness. I think that as a teacher, you would have to read the original first.
