KINDLE USERS - HELP!

I have an old style simple kindle, no backlight. I was lucky enough to have a small win on the lottery last night and am considering treating myself to a new kindle.

But I don‘t know what would be best. Does anyone have any recommendations? I‘ve got enough to cover a paper white but it‘s my birthday soon so I could wait and see if I get any money to stump up for an Oasis. Is it worth it?

thanks!

LittleMummyMe If i was to update my kindle, I'd buy another paperwhite. 4y
jenniferw88 I bought myself a new kindle earlier this year (the one with the backlight) and I love it. The only downside is that it won't do pictures/covers in colour so if you read graphic novels/comics on there it might be better to wait. 4y
kezzlou85 I love my paperwhite. Does everything I need it to. Can read in the dark and in bright sunlight. Plus its a good size to hold. I use the kindle app on my tablet for graphic novels. 4y

CoffeeK8 I like the paper white. It doesn‘t have the backlight which is good if you are on screens a lot for work. 4y
LoveToReadLiveToRead @LittleMummyMe @jenniferw88 @kezzlou85 @CoffeeK8 thanks all. Think I‘ll go for the paperwhite, just need my winnings to hit my bank account, exciting! 4y
Birdsong28 Paperwhite is probably the better option as it makes sense to spend a bit now rather than get a just a Kindle and then you wouldn't be able to update it in a few years time. Also it does work in the sunshine and there is a backlight but you can adjust it to your needs. 4y
