I've always loved the alien movies...I wonder why it's taken me so long to read any of the books.
I'm going to read them all, but I'll skip Covenant Origins.
I enjoyed this book. 👍🏼

An enjoyable, well written book.
It does have a somewhat lackluster ending...but that's o.k. with me, because sometimes things do actually end that way.

I enjoyed this book. Some facts of Australian life in the 60s and 70s was a shock to me, some before my time...others were easily remembered things from my childhood. It had me thinking 'oh, God, yes, I remember that!'
An enjoyable book for anyone who experience Australia in the era this book is set.

The countdown is on! 🕑
From Prince himself comes the brilliant coming-of-age-and-into-superstardom story of one of the greatest artists of all time—featuring never-before-seen photos, original scrapbooks and lyric sheets, and the exquisite memoir he began writing before his tragic death.

The Testaments is entertaining enough...if your after a book that reads like your standard YA dystopian novels. It unfortunately wasn't great.
I didn't like how Aunt Lydia was portrayed at all and how it's all wrapped up at the end...really had me rolling my eyes.
I'm left dissapointed after reading this.

LittleMummyMe And its like Nicole didn't even need to be in the book!
She's only in the book to let her conveniently befriend Agnes and be together as sisters at the end and find their mother together. 🤮

I mean, they get her into Gilead, just to get her back out of Gilead...🙄🙄🙄🙄

Agnes could have got out of Gilead with Becka.

I really enjoyed this book. I'm not a huge Tina Turner fan but I enjoy a few of her songs. She sure does have a big story to tell and went through a lot in her life so far.

A good book for people who are interested in the Kelly story. Written with a bit of a pro Kelly bias, but that was ok with me.

A good book if your interested in the Russian era of the last Tzar and Rasputin.
Some parts of the book are in quite a bit gross and the descriptions of sex with rasputin are both more graphic than I was expecting and kinda stomach churning.
A bit long winded at times and a few too many typos left in the book.

Slajaunie Thanks for the heads up. That means I will not be reading this book. 5mo
LeeRHarry You have summed up exactly how I feel about this book! I need to pick it up from the library when I get back home to finish it as I like the sense of place - that is what is keeping me going. 5mo
LittleMummyMe It's an interesting book. I found some scenes a bit long winded, some wonderful and some stomach churning. But I guess that depicts life, it would definitely depict life in that era...people wielding power over others and superstitions defining people's decisions. 5mo
LittleMummyMe @LeeRHarry let me know what you think once you've finished it. 5mo
LittleMummyMe Truly though...Rasputin...🤢🤮 but I guess that's exactly how the writer wants you to feel about him. He's the villain after all. 5mo

This was an ok book for me. Nothing fantastic.
There were some elements of the story I loved and some I just found boring to read about.
I liked the ending concerning the protagonist...the part of the ending that sets up for the next novel in the series didn't catch my interest and I don't think I'll read it.

I loved this book.
There's probably not much I can say about this book that hasn't already been written.
So I'll just say I loved it.
I wanted to know all about Kya and what happened to her...would she remain alone and lonely?, would she find her family?...would attitudes toward her change?
Absolutely beautifully written.
