Lori Nichols enchanting debut features an irresistible, free-spirited, nature-loving little girl who greets the changing seasons and a new sibling with arms wide open. When Maple is tiny, her parents plant a maple tree in her honor. She and her tree grow up together, and even though a tree doesnt always make an ideal playmate, it doesnt mind when Maple is in the mood to be loudwhich is often. Then Maple becomes a big sister, and finds that babies have their loud days, too. Fortunately, Maple and her beloved tree know just what the baby needs.

The book Maple by Lori Nichols is contemporary realistic fiction book about a little girl named Maple who is named after a tree. This book is wonderful for children for children to come to terms for getting siblings and growing up. The book won the Giverny award in 2014. I would use UDL 3.1 activate it supply background knowledge. I would make sure the kids know different tree names and seasons. #ucflae3414f17
